I don’t advocate using credit cards but today they would be helpful. Also if you upload your card in Apple Pay would still work even if the bank is down.

Windsor didn’t even apologise for lapse of service. Maidenhead had one person there at noon. Tellers had left as they knew outage would not be fixed by 4pm

Despicable behaviour to not have the ability to roll back to a working system and leave so many people unable to access their money! CRIMINAL!

Sam Jones (@SamManuel12) reported@santanderukhelp Understand issues happen, for this length of time though is ridiculous however, the fact that you haven’t arranged to contact customers via text or email to inform them & they only find out once cards are declined or via social media isn’t acceptable. @santanderuk

Martin 父 Bubear (@martinbubear) reported@santanderuk have really screwed up - if you need proper IT support please get in touch. In the meantime you need to prepare to compensate customers who cannot access their money or make purchases.
