Also, ask for all of the recordings of your phone calls to be passed to the police, then you can prove that they acted negligently with regards to the old number etc

simopco (@simopco) reported@santanderuk terrible customer service via online chat. Question asked 3 times, promised a reply never received. In person visit was told to call. 20 minutes on the phone to an Indian call centre finally got an answer. Dreadful!

Francis Kinsler (@fdkin1) reported@FastEddieGB @MartinSLewis @santanderuk The local branch helped me out today and did it for me but apparently the interest rate has gone down today from 2% yesterday to 1.5% today. I started out hoping to get 2.75% on eSaver special up to 1 November but that wasn't available on 31/10 and ended up with 1.5%. Not happy.

Perhaps more effort should be put into educating people - but I guess that doesn't serve the banks well...
