@NHUB40 @santanderuk Thanks for your help. I don't think it's going to be a quick fix. I don't know how these people sleep at night. They knew my circumstances with my work and my children and still sold me an unroadworthy car.

  • red6661999 NHS HCSW MARK WEST (@red6661999) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@NHUB40 I paid for the full amount with my debit card so I thought I had some protection but apparently I don't meet the criteria for a card dispute. so even @santanderuk can't help

  • dazholdcroft1 Daz (Oaky) Holdcroft (@dazholdcroft1) reported from Stoke-on-Trent, England

@MorganBroadcast Sorry to read what you are going through. @santanderuk is known for having the most appalling customer service team. But thankfully, the FCA, ombudsman, knows how to deal with them. I would recommend you take this up with FCA ombudsman.

  • daisybruni Daisy Bruni (@daisybruni) reported

@archer_rs @santanderuk The gym @VirginActiveUK seems to have had a security breach, but the bank enabled the fraud by making the PIN available on a stolen phone, calling that phone after they'd been notified and then transferring funds from a savings account and blaming the customer 😱

  • JulieMcCHS Julie McDonald (@JulieMcCHS) reported

@MorganBroadcast OMG this is terrible and @santanderuk have made the situation so much worse by trying to contact you on your stolen phone. Try the ombudsman. Good luck

  • DellaWilliamso6 Della Williamson (@DellaWilliamso6) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk So sorry this happened to you. Had something similar with Centurylink. From what you have said. I think it had to be an insider. Who are they protecting? My heart and my prayers are with you. Wish I knew of something that would really help. Hugs, ***.

@krissysbooked @santanderuk It's not just Santander after reading Charlotte's thread I checked my Barclays app & I can get access to my pin if I fill in the correct details, which is very worrying if my card & phone are ever stolen together. Esp considering how easy it was for the thief in Charlotte's case

  • johnnydubb1 johnnydubb (@johnnydubb1) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk Terrible. Hope it is sorted soon. Closing my santander account, which isn't my main one.

  • PedalPlodder Dawn-Pedalplodder (@PedalPlodder) reported

@PeterDbrash @MorganBroadcast As a long term @santanderuk customer, I'm extremely concerned about this! Especially as simply transferring the stolen phone's SIM card to another phone gets around the phone security.

  • keatsie777 keatsie 💚🤍💜 (@keatsie777) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK I’m so sorry you had this happen to you. Shocking that the gym and bank have been so unhelpful. Please do not give up. The kind of service you have experienced needs to be exposed far and wide so others can decide who they want to trust with their business.

  • MaryWyn31614393 Mary Wynne (@MaryWyn31614393) reported

@PaulTinhat @MorganBroadcast Wow how callous. You obviously haven’t read it through properly have you. Her point is Santanderuk are accusing her of sharing/writing down her PIN when she hasn’t done anything of the sort. That’s her point!

  • Moneytrainers Moneytrainers - An Adviser in Recovery (@Moneytrainers) reported

@MoorgateMermaid @santanderuk @MorganBroadcast There more I read the article there more it seemed like an inside job with access to images and such. Big flaw in the systems, not helped by data protection regulations and policing that is off doing other things. I assume this was the Kent Online story from Monday?
