-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
I had openreach in yesterday to install fibre cable, now got a shiny new box in the garage and another shiny new box in the study, with fibre cable between them. OK @TalkTalk it still doesn't work, 35 days now without broadband or landline, does anyone actually care?
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@TalkTalk The main problem has always been that the front line staff have been apologising and saying sorry since the 18th Feb, but they obviously cannot do anything about the problem and the people they are passing the problem to are doing nothing
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@TalkTalk Just do you know Andy, I have spent almost 5 hours in 4 web chats, 3 were disconnected just after the hour mark and the 4th went on for almost 2 hours without resolution, it was obvious they were following a script and could do nothing when the problem was off script
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@timfprice @annembee @virginmedia I have a similar problem with TalkTalk, I have had no broadband or landlines since 17th Feb, they disconnected me because I was upgrading to their fibre to the house, except that got delayed but they still disconnected my normal service. Their web chat service is a joke
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
I have spent over 12 hours trying to get someone at talktalk to fix this, it will be almost 6 weeks before they attempt to install the fibre connection for 2nd time. All I have from TalkTalk is there front line people telling me how sorry they are
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
If you are currently with TalkTalk and are considering upgrading or thinking of moving to TalkTalk my experience would say don't do it. Their products are good, Their prices are excellent, Their customer service is appalling, lots of nice soothing frilly words but do sod all
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
Today I chatted with @TalkTalk and got lots of apologies and cheerful noises and then told I would have to wait another 5-10 days for someone to look into this, no mention of a fix timeframe.
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow @TalkTalk I am thinking of cancelling the order but it will still leave me with no service and I believe the problem is partly caused by openreach so not sure about BT either
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@AngelcityIain Im a TalkTalk customer but Openreach came to put fibre to my house, they disconnected my copper line then found a blockage in the pipe they were going to feed the fibre down. They say they can't restore my copper line and the fibre won't be in until the 15th march, I'm pissed
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
Got this text today as I was being told that Openreach had disconnected my broadband line. TalkTalk are lying to me "Hello, We've sent an engineer to fix a problem with your line and we're now monitoring it. Your connection might take a few days to adjust. Your TalkTalk team"
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow @margatesunsets BT are offering a similar package to the 1 I had chosen from TalkTalk except they are £12 per month more expensive, I might decide it is worth it if the service is going to be better
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow Just updated my mobile phone to unlimited data so that I can set it up as a hot spot for jenny and my daughters can use it instead of the home network, I will be attempting to claim this cost back from talktalk on top of the normal monthly payment plus the hassle
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow @margatesunsets I'm looking at bt now, they are more expensive but there customer service must be better than TalkTalk
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow @TalkTalk I have requested that they fulfill the original complaint in the original 3 to 5 day timescale which would end tomorrow what they want to do is add another 5 days, I'm not impressed
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow I then asked for TalkTalks complaint procedure, they @TalkTalk pointed me to the chat option, when I tried to use it, I got the message "chat busy call tomorrow", their complaints procedure is appalling.
-
Ian Braisby (@BraisbyI) reported from Hastings, England
@dancludlow I got an email on Monday saying the TalkTalk engineer had fixed the problem which was total rubbish, today I complained again and was told they would raise another case which means I have to wait another 5 days

@TalkTalk - we are having outage in Barnet. Our postcode is EN5 area. Not just our household but also one of our neighbours who is also your customer. At first I thought our router was broken but when our neighbour has the same issue, we realised that it is the network connection not our broadband router. Look forward to your explanation.

@TalkTalk You have the cheek to say I owe you £124 for full fibre when my current supplier, Youfibre, told me they would have to replace all the copper wiring from the local junction box to my property and @TalkTalk had never given me full fibre but had fraudulently charged me for it!

@talktalk can you explain to me why your call centre don't ring me as planned to update. Why have I had 2 appointments for an engineer to attend, no engineer attends and when I call I'm told the appts never existed? Day 10 now.

@TalkTalk Just a heads up after the third outage this week, I will NOT be renewing my contract with you. You have been the worst I have ever had since I went to Fibre, Rubbish. Outages between one and three a week is unacceptable, Never before happened to me.

I have to help all my followers with this information.. @TalkTalkGroup @TalkTalk is the most corrupt company I have ever dealt with. They deliberately keep charging you months after you have switched broadband suppliers. If you want peace of mind don't have any dealings with them

Yo, @tchalenko dealin' wid a vexin' situation, mon! Him move house in August 2023 an' try transfer him TalkTalk broadband, but dem couldn't hook up service at di new spot. Still, dem keep chargin' him, even after promisin' to cancel di contract an' waive fees. TalkTalk also claim dem never get di router him send back, an' dem want £50 more. Luke vex bad, gettin' threatenin' letters 'bout him credit score an' even t'inkin' 'bout court. Seems like TalkTalk got a history of billin' mix-ups, like a big fine in 2011 for overchargin'. Luke could try CISAS, a free service to sort out disputes, if TalkTalk don't fix t'ings. It’s a rough one, mon, but dem options deh fi him!
