On the live chat one assistant said it was a router fault, another informed that the problem was with BT in our area. Can anyone help please?

Dan Fielding (@Mr_Soft) reported@TalkTalk Thanks for the response. There was Homework Time set for that timeframe Mon-Fri, to cut out gaming and social networking. So it doesn't fully fit the symptoms of my issue but I've turned it off and will see if it solves the problem tomorrow night. Thanks.

Over the past week I have been helping my elderly grandmother access her emails as she has forgotten her password, but there seems to be no one that can help resolve this!! She’s been a customer for over 20 years but clearly means nothing!
