@TalkTalk hello we had an engineer out to check our slow speeds and he told us it was an outside line issue and another engineer would be sent to repair this but I have no confirmation and when I call they do a line all I get told is to call back in 48h.

@GTOpoppy @Plusnet Going from +net to TalkTalk we had to stay a month without any broadband as the first engineer made a mistake in creating the new line. 3 engineers later (with the company close to charge Β£65 for the (dis)service) they solved it but what a massive pain!

@TalkTalk why is your solution always 'We'll send a new router'. Coincidental drop out of service following opting to end my contract in a couple of weeks. 😑

@llqdave @TalkTalk @TalkTalkGroup They did that to me as well until I sent them a blunt response. And no, talking to customer service on here doesn't help much at all. They have less access than those on webchat and email etc.

@TalkTalk what a shameful company to send a disabled customer and email with DAGGERS as bullet points! I am trying to set up a payment plan to pay my final bill but refused as I'm no longer a customer I am struggling with debt I will be taking this to the papers!

Update... They want my 82 yr old mum to send a speed test result by connecting the computer (upstairs) to the router (downstairs) via ethernet cable (which they don't have). 🀨 I explained that they won't be able to do that - they don't have a laptop, and it's not practical to unplug their pc and relocate it next to the router - they just can't physically do it. TalkTalk were not interested and insist it's the only way they can check if they are not receiving the correct speeds – although they did tell me during my first call that they could see the speed was only 12mbps...πŸ€” They will send an ethernet cable by post anyway, or could send someone out to do it – Β£150 call out fee. Never mind. Contract ends in October and won't be renewed... Nice service for the elderly, what?
