BT advised the onus is on the customer to check their contracts - however they are supposed to email you, let young know - so be careful, have emailed Ofcom to let them know of my experience - thank you @tescomobile for being transparent as my other phone is with them !

@tescomobile I'm going to a small claims court to recover the costs for loss of earnings. Five weeks and counting...one of my numbers hasn't been ported over. NO HELP FROM TESCO MOBILE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! APPALLING SERVICE!!

If you are with @tescomobile and want to take your phone abroad - abandon hope of service. You won’t get it and help via Twitter is very limited. After 20 years with Tesco now looking at other providers
