@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Up you pop! What a pathetic response. Guidance? How about staff who just do it for the family of the bereaved. Glad I’m not with you and never will be.
-
Nicola Syms (@NicolaSyms) reported
@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot But confused how this is any different to what the customer has already done? He’s spoken with an advisor and they were rude and didn’t resolve the issue!
-
George Laird (@Ritchiepk) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I've a lot of sympathy. My mum is still alive but can no longer use the phone. I managed to get it cancelled using the chat bot on my own phone, but only as luck would have it, cos I was also a Vodafone customer.

Jalata 🇪🇺 📖 🌍 🥦 (@dysgwraig) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We had similar problems with another provider despite sending copy of death certificate. Complete inability to understand concepts such as executor or power of attorney or indeed to accept that they couldn’t talk to the account holder as he was deceased.
-
Anthony Barnett (@AnthonyBarnett) reported
@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot I can corroborate. I once had an account with Vodafone. They sent a new phone to the wrong address. I went into their shop to correct this as their customer service having sold it denied me access. Their shop - their shop! - said they cld not deal with customer service! [1/2]

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They care ow that you hqve gone public and have a large following. Chatbots are the death of customer service.
-
Kavey (@Kavey) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot Have heard many such stories about @VodafoneUK and would NEVER consider them as a provider. Sorry your experience with their staff is so at odds with the reply their public-facing Twitter response. They should be ashamed of themselves. I hope it's resolved for you.
-
Dr Rachel Morris, the Duchess of Snark for PM! (@5by5Creativity) reported
@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Fancy suggesting that they regret offering such an inhuman service by offering you further contact with a … non-human chat tool. Further confirming their inhumane uselessness.
-
Craig Behenna (@CraigBehenna) reported
@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Richie, I think you may have missed the overall gist that going through the Vodaphone system caused this problem in the first place. Maybe working this out in a more public forum might be better

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Talk talk are no different, we tried to cancel my mothers account for almost two years I eventually stopped the DD. I know they run a business but their customer care/credit controllers don’t believe your parent has died, it’s pay us or we put you to debt collection.
