@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I find the biggest problem now is once you finally get to talk to someone about your problem they either don't have the power to resolve the issue or promise they'll sort it and don't. This problem seems to be widespread and growing.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK 3-4 years ago, I cancelled my vodaphone contract because the signal was poor in the town where I live. I have never had to go through such a difficult and obstructive process in my life. I won't deal with them again.

@DaveLGilmore @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Not the same but my Gran moved into a care home recently. She's deaf & easily confused and is still unable to cancel her Virgin Media subscription. Numerous calls, hours on hold, passed from team to team & constantly cut off. Tried live chat who were also completely incompetent.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone are liars. I used to get such weak signal where I lived, and for 8 months all they said was this is a temporary issue in the area that’s being addressed. Switched to EE & never looked back.

@VodafoneUK I will use the live chat service. Vodafone need to get this resolved ASAP, it shouldn't be on the customer to keep chasing problems that they haven't been informed about.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK A couple of years ago my deaf, elderly dad had to ring Vodafone to sort out his account. After the call was finished, he used a very rude word beginning with 'c' to describe them. It appears that his judgement was correct! :-(

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I suspect it's more 'corporate incompetence', such an account should have been moved from front end by any of their staff into a file for deceased customers - mind you in bad companies staff tend to be 'trained(!?) to follow set procedures and not to think for themselves.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This sorry tale echoes my experience administering my mothers estate. For me it was an internet company (though there were others similarly obstructive). I raised a complaint about an individual who didnt even offer condolences & was assured their behaviour would be addressed.
