@SamsungUK Samsung Login appears to have blocked an IP address which is a @VodafoneUK edge IP due to detecting unusual behaviour. That means you have effective blocked a whole chunk of Vodafone customers from logging in with Samsung Login. Not good.

  • NickMillerUK Nick Miller 🇺🇦 (@NickMillerUK) reported from Rostrevor, Northern Ireland

@VodafoneUK is there anyway to encourage the roll out of 5G to our area? It’s a tourist hot spot and coverage now is awful. Half of the coastline here has zero signal of any variety.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They’re awful. Will never ever recommend them to anyone. Tried 3 times to cancel during the first lockdown - on the phone and via chat - either cutoff by them “accidentally” or lost will to live after over an hour on chat. Cancelled DD, hassled by debt collectors etc etc

  • sinclai11 Dundee Diva (@sinclai11) reported

@BenjaminBallA @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Àaargh. And what is this 'Hi George ' crap.

  • plainoldgrumpy Grumpy C (@plainoldgrumpy) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Customer services is non-existent in the UK. Companies don’t spend any money on it, it’s mostly on script and all revolves around making the most money possible, instead of serving customers. Was having this exact conversation with my wife yesterday. It’s disgusting.

  • philjohno Phillip Johnson (@philjohno) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Really sorry to hear this. When my father in law died I called EE to cancel his contract. They offered their sympathies and cancelled immediately. They also offered us a month totally free to use the account to call other organisations.Vodafone, bow your head in shame.Disgraceful!

  • Scott12Colin Colin Scott (@Scott12Colin) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK No wonder UK productivity is so poor when we spend so much time waiting on phones trying to sort out crap service. Public sector's no better. I made an application to the Court of Protection in February and they've still not got around to dealing with it.

  • NaturePoetsSong Dean Powell (Natures Parliament) (@NaturePoetsSong) reported

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja Then tell your call centre staff to develop empathy, care, respect and to top behaving despicably. Also fire those who fail to do so.

  • LesleyD31022980 Lesley Dixon (@LesleyD31022980) reported

@mulletmas @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had the same experience a few years ago. Vodaphone backed down on our cancellation argument, gave me a credit note to cancel last alleged unpaid invoice, but still put two black marks on my otherwise unblemished credit history which they refused to move. Would never use them

  • jorjoby silver-g (@jorjoby) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @fascinatorfun @VodafoneUK I believe that “customer service” in the U.K. died when they put “IT automated chat” engines between the customer & their company. It works to take an order & process your payment. But god forbid if their product or service goes awry.

  • whiskey_pc November_Echo PC (@whiskey_pc) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Customer service no longer exists in the UK - the same with @virginmedia as well, it’s all automated ‘press this button’ and nothing gets sorted, then the people you do talk with have no interest in helping. I’m sorry for your loss & this sort of attitude doesn’t help at all

  • KP1963 Karl Parr 💙 (@KP1963) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK It’s really sad that this had happened to your family. Some companies have dedicated teams to help out families after a death to cancel accounts. Suggestion. If you don’t currently have such a system @VodafoneUK I suggest that you consider one.
