@onlytruejosh @VodafoneUK I find Vodafone/ Voxi really good speed and coverage wise. I was with GiffGaff and they were awful. And EE wasn’t much better

@maccaspacca1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I agree with the sentiment of don't shoot the messenger. However, customer service agents are people, right? People generally have a level of respect and decorum when it comes to bereavement. If they are literally reading from a script then it might as well be a chat bot.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Appalling corporate bullying It is a tiny consolation George, but just think of all the business they're going to lose (mine included)down to this

@VodafoneUK @RD03157723 You are on the wrong end of this @vodaphoneuk . Why not give your BOT a rest and actually serve customers properly via a proper support desk. There are many people not fully tech savvy that find such as BOTs very confusing. Really bad.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had no problems cancelling all my parents accounts when they passed. I simply sent a certified copy of the death certificate to the relevant people. Yes, I had to buy them at the time of registering their deaths, but it helped enormously.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Oh wow. This is just an awful read because it's so unnecessary of Vodafone to treat people like this. Awful. I'm with Vodafone but shall leave when my contract is over.

@DavidPNoble63 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Absolutely - and not limited to companies dealing with individuals. As a small business have had similar issues with getting out of contracts. You can only cancel between 30 and 60 days before the contract ends etc then every hurdle is put in the way to delay and deny.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Thanks for the warning - will make a point never to use a company like that.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot NO. DMs are not the answer. A working customer service team with sufficient people trained to correctly deal with customers' queries is the answer. And the excuse of "but Covid" is no longer acceptable. Deal with it now.

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja My fathers got dementia and can’t remember anything about his contract, passwords etc. Basically paying for a phone he can’t even use. It’s a nightmare trying to get help..

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone, one of the worst and most stressful companies I have ever dealt with. Nearly took an ongoing complaint to ofcom a few years ago.
