@onlytruejosh @VodafoneUK I find Vodafone/ Voxi really good speed and coverage wise. I was with GiffGaff and they were awful. And EE wasn’t much better

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We had completely the opposite experience with @tescomobile They couldn't have been more accomodating when the FIL passed away. Very good customer service.

@bmac1906 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Why would you contact a bereavement team about someone that's still alive? And even if you were acting for a deceased relative the customer services department of a half decent company ought to be able to transfer to such a team themselves

@GeorgeMonbiot Dark humour aside, this is ridiculous. @VodafoneUK (the company not the poor people fielding the social media account - bless them) need to have a better policy on ending accounts when the account holder is deceased. Why can other places like banks etc do this but not them?

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Write a letter to Vodafone giving them 7 days to cancel the contract if there is no action contact your mums back and cancel dd, they can't say you didn't try, good luck 👍

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I think it's time we joined forces to call out cynical corporate fraud like this. I'm having issues with EDF giving me the run around about repaying money they owe me.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Exactly, only an idiot would suggest this response, how about a DIRECT MESSAGE to an already distressed person so you can get a number so they can talk to a human being NOT a BOT!!!🤦🏽

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This doesn’t compare to your awful situation but I left Vodaphone in 2005 when I received a bill for 700 pound (a lot to me at the time) for data despite having a data cap set. I was told on the phone no data cap had been set (despite previous reassurance). No option to challenge

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We are so sorry for your father's terrible experience - companies like @VodafoneUK need to make sure they train their staff to help support bereaved customers. Many WAY Widowed and Young members have similar struggles when trying to close their loved one's various accounts 💙💔

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK My mother-in-law has had many of the same issues with Virgin. 😩

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK the lesson here is don't bother having contracts, the monthly pay as you deals are just as good if not better nowadays and you can dump them and move on if there's any hassle. The whole contract system benefits them not the customer.
