@VodafoneUK I’ve tried 3 times to get a coherent answer from your chat service and you basically no longer accept phone calls. Is there a way to speak to a human please? You have been charging me an extra £21.75 a month for years and you can’t tell me what it’s for.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I've had one experience with Vodafone and it was utterly horrible: along the lines you have experienced. No way of leaving and lots of threats. Just look through the window of any high-street store and spend 30 seconds watching the staff; this will tell you all you need to know.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is so standard. We had this with LA Fitness a 13 years ago. They made it impossible for my partner having a difficult pregnancy, to cancel, and then sent people in. Eventually I'm screaming at them to take us to court, which they never did. 1/

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Despite having depts that deal with bereaved relatives most of the utilities are terrible. Scottish power and British Gas have been particularly bad. United utilities have been great all the times weve had to contact them.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had a similar problem trying to end my Father’s contract when he passed. I was repeated told that only the account holder could cancel the account despite me saying repeatedly that he had died.
