AOL have deleted more than half of the saved emails in my inbox and now I’ve lost the email containing the serial codes for Eleanor Forte AI, Synth V Studio Pro and Natsuki Karin AI. I’ve managed to send an email to Anicute but AHS want a support number (was in a deleted email…)

Can safely say that @AOL @aolmail @AOLSupportHelp have proved to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way of contacting other than email, no acknowledgement that Mail account can’t be accessed, no way of resetting password. No help at all. Disgusting.

@shamrock3122 @GdCopBdCop @DocAtCDI I've been part of a few art shows that specialized in artwork using CDs, but typically the ones used were the spam CDs we got through the mail, for AOL as just one example, and CDs that no longer worked. I would NEVER trash a working music CD, but then, I'm a musician too.

@wokbonds @brianknotts @ggreenwald Indeed. There was an anomalous period when retail internet service providers in the US (although not elsewhere) thought connectivity needed to be sold with specific content. Hence AOL chatrooms etc. And the Time Warner merger. 🙄

Look, I never took down my myspace page, and I probably still have an AOL email somewhere out there, so I'm probably never going to delete my facebook page either. It will just become as irrelevant as the other things I no longer use.

@almostjingo @Google I was hacked today. Not getting emails and FB locked me out. Not for anything I did wrong or said. They are asking for new user and passwords, just like AOL did but it wasn't AOL. I never responded and still got hacked.

@H3KTlC I remember AOL chat rooms, those were like the wild west in there. almost no rules. Modern social media is much more locked down than it was bsck then for sure. If "ASL" was entered, things were about to get real. lol.
