Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

Optimum service in NYC and elsewhere is the absolute worst. Phone disconnects when you ask to terminate the service. This is worse than trying to escape AOL.

Apollo is buying AOL for just $2.5 billion. I invested in that company at $100 billion in 2000. Sounds like a good dip for me to average down into. #valueinvesting

@craigcalcaterra Can you imagine telling someone in 1999 that a company you’ve never heard of would buy AOL and Yahoo?

@CGasparino @apolloglobal @verizonmedia Verizon paid $4.8 Billion for Yahoo and $4.4 Billion for AOL. Only to dump both today for ONLY $5 Billion. Lesson: Tech stocks are NEVER a "buy and hold".

"BREAKING NEWS Verizon will sell Yahoo and AOL for $5 billion, giving up on its digital-media ambitions in the face of competition from Google and Facebook." It was a stupid decision for Verizon to buy these businesses, but that is a long story.

"The transaction is the latest turn in the history of two of the internet’s earliest pioneers. Yahoo used to be the front page of the internet, cataloging the furious pace of new websites that sprang up in the late 90s. AOL was once the service that most ppl used to get online."

Maybe $VZ and the 'value-play' stock pickers should get together and share nightmare stories. Investments or just very bad & embarrassing acquisitions should be the not-to-do examples in every business school case study. Maybe $T will buy AOL to reunite Warner & AOL! Hilarious.
