  AOL have deleted more than half of the saved emails in my inbox and now I’ve lost the email containing the serial codes for Eleanor Forte AI, Synth V Studio Pro and Natsuki Karin AI. I’ve managed to send an email to Anicute but AHS want a support number (was in a deleted email…)

  @AOLSupportHelp Hi AOL, we are having terrible speed /connection problems and we have switched router on and off. How do we get this rectified,. My wife's trying to work from home and it's causing no end of problems. Cheers Phil

  Can safely say that @AOL @aolmail @AOLSupportHelp have proved to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way of contacting other than email, no acknowledgement that Mail account can’t be accessed, no way of resetting password. No help at all. Disgusting.

  Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

  @JuicySteen there was a strong appetite by some at AOL Time Warner to get them off the air despite being their highest rated show. It would have depended on if they were able to hang on until Spike opened up.

  Oh... Just in case it hasn't sunk in yet AI being able to code as well as it does means that software as a product or service is DEAD AS A DOOR-NAIL It will probably stop twitching in about 4-5 years for most people, but expect some companies to hold on by charging subscription services until 25 years after they have become irreverent...   @thenarr47271717 @Bit_Faced @theswansjr Your analogy is a bit off Current Bitcoin is not 'The Internet' but more akin to the walled garden of America Online capable of serving only a select few... AOL was consumed by the wider permissionless network that served everybody... If BTC can only serve the masses via custodians it will be no different than a CBDC => It will be outcompeted by a freer money

  Beyond the usual senior leadership problems at AOL that doomed Mapquest, there was another: channel conflict. Mapquest had a LOB that was store locators. They would sell widgets to retailers and other businesses that they could put on their own sites. Split personalities like that are always tough. When one side is paying the bills (store locator) it's hard to ship the future.

Then the Prodigy service came along and soon after the mass mailing of AOL disks! That was the end of most BBS’s
