Can safely say that @AOL @aolmail @AOLSupportHelp have proved to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way of contacting other than email, no acknowledgement that Mail account can’t be accessed, no way of resetting password. No help at all. Disgusting.

AOL have deleted more than half of the saved emails in my inbox and now I’ve lost the email containing the serial codes for Eleanor Forte AI, Synth V Studio Pro and Natsuki Karin AI. I’ve managed to send an email to Anicute but AHS want a support number (was in a deleted email…)

@Cook_Estates @AOLSupportHelp At least I'm not the only one, was just on point of thumping laptop in frustration. 🙄 So will remain calm, now I know it's not problem at my end.

Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

I am 4 months into a sky puck subscription. On account I never get to finish watching a program because I get kicked off or get told the program is loading and is laggy to xxck. It's useless. Can I cancel my subscription. It's like I'm using AOL dial up to connect. @SkyHelpTeam

@Capt_Fishpaste Agreed. Why fret about stuff that may never happen? I start looking up players' stats and profiles when I see a photo of them standing outside the AOL holding up a #Sunderland scarf. #SAFC

@d4doome Usenet was good until infiltrated & destroyed by spam. Unfiltered Usenet groups have no modern equivalent. X shadow bans & stifles, even under Elon. Facebook is horrid. But before I used Usenet I was banned from AOL forums. The original evil, from which sh*t sites like Facebook & Reddit are censorious de facto children. Also I caused these three groups to be created, in the day, when most anyone could create a group…

MySpace, Homestarrunner, Sumbleupon, Kazaa, limewire, various old DBZ and anime sites I’ll never remember the names of, message boards being a big thing, AOL chat rooms, and so much more

  • JoyfiendGames
    Joyfiend Games 😈 (@JoyfiendGames) reported

@dampheil @kleeposting AOL probably did the biggest initial damage to internet culture by mailing CDs to every cow-eyed ******* in America. Inviting America to the Online was a huge mistake.

@Martyupnorth Nope. never did have AOL. :)

  • CoachRobynRab

@txsinatrafan I still have an AOL email address. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? Have had it for 30 years.

@HurricaneStiz I’m old and washed now. Around 2000 on AOL college football chat I was dominating the nerds so bad. 2001 was insane. So many stars in NFL. It was a scrolling cascading chat. Twitter was too. First tweets you texted a phone number then waited for your tweet to scroll by.
