CompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.

@HTFCirno2000 @solelychloe there's 1 support person part of the group who now own & are still meant to be making new "winamp" that was from the aol era. though everything determined so far is the windows version is dead (hence imho the need for a wacup) & if it happens it'll be like a mobile spotify clone.

@bcantrill @okta @toddmckinnon ...so no NFS, pity this was one of tens of Challenge servers backing up all of AOL email via NFS. And support let AOL flounder all weekend. Not visible publicly but oh Jesus the **** hit the fan internally. A major failure. And treated as a learning lesson...
