CompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.

@Humanstein In ‘95, AOL had just hit the scene, but it cost money to be online. However, it was free to go in an AOL customer support chat room. So, ppl (I) would enter a support chat room and chat w/each other as much as possible (a/s/l) before the Admin would enter the chat. True pioneers!

In 1998, my brother and I were kicked off of AOL for violating their terms of service 5 times. It was worth it. **** you, Steve Case. Trying to censor 12 and 14 year old boys.

@Humanstein AOL Star Wars RP, circa 1994 if I'm guessing right. Back in the hourly fee days. After the second $400+ bill, family managed to find a newfangled direct internet service provider to switch to. My Warlord of the Imperial Armada took his ships into cold storage & was not seen again

@unloadedcrayon cant blame me for trying.... i am how ever looking to do a PC build of donated parts... thats gonna be an interesting ordeal cuz i never put a pc together before... my last pc i think was a Gateway back when we used to have to get the AOL cds from CVS
