Third, people acting like this WASN’T the biggest drop of ALL TIME. The demand for this project far exceeded the demand for any project times 1000x. Are you forgetting that we’re still in the early internet days of this all? ******* dial up modem AOL ****? Cmon people!

  • crypto_jackass jackasscrypto.ethᵍᵐ (@crypto_jackass) reported

@ariefputraart The problem with Piñata is that you have to pay to keep the data on decentralized storage. So this is probably where a bit of the 15% platform fees go. The problem is that if KnowOrigin becomes the next AOL or Compuserve, then at one point they will stop paying the bill...

  • mistermemoryman Clive Wright (@mistermemoryman) reported

@AOLSupportHelp Have an @aol.com email a/c which is Gr8. Recently noticed @aim.com coming with it. I have questions.1) Is this correct? 2) Is this Aim a/c necessary? 3) Is it safe? I believe the Aim a/c is some messenger service made defunct in 2017,I don’t want if not needed.

  • ShawnTomkin Shawn Tomkin (@ShawnTomkin) reported

Confessing my sordid past. In the early 90's I got booted from Prodigy (like AOL, but worse) for using a shared ID to run a play-by-post TTRPG. Each email cost 25 cents, so we would login under a shared ID and communicate by sending emails that would intentionally bounce.
