Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

Can safely say that @AOL @aolmail @AOLSupportHelp have proved to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No way of contacting other than email, no acknowledgement that Mail account can’t be accessed, no way of resetting password. No help at all. Disgusting.

  • stephca46203104 steph carter (@stephca46203104) reported from Darenth, England

@AOLSupportHelp I need help to access my email it’s saying the password or account isn’t correct but I can not access my recovery email address either. I’m being sent in a circle

  • PhilLeePhotos Phil Lee (@PhilLeePhotos) reported from Gillingham, England

@Cook_Estates @AOLSupportHelp At least I'm not the only one, was just on point of thumping laptop in frustration. 🙄 So will remain calm, now I know it's not problem at my end.

  • MugsysRapSheet Mugsy Exposes GOP Stupidity 🪛🐑🐘 (@MugsysRapSheet) reported

The movie "You've Got Mail" came out when AOL was still hot. In "Hot Tub Time Machine", one guy made his future self rich by telling him to buy Yahoo. Distant future "Blade Runner" shows a skyscraper with the Atari logo on top. Inserting popular tech in movies never works out.

  • CNschedules CN News/Schedules (@CNschedules) reported

Really seems like internet and cellular providers merging with entertainment companies has proven to be a bad idea. Stick to cell phones. AT&T with Time Warner Verizon with Yahoo and AOL (currently selling those off) AOL with... Time Warner

  • Jesse_T_White Jesse White (@Jesse_T_White) reported

@Poor_Bastard @BobDigi69 @ColdBloodedJoke Time Warner's biggest problem before the AT&T acquisition was that it was a collection of fiefdoms (Warner Bros, Turner, and HBO) that didn't collaborate with one another. It's why they had no problem offloading Time Inc., AOL, and Time Warner Cable.

  • lady7676 WhiskeyLady7676 (@lady7676) reported

@Bellatrysh How about the site fanfiction? It's like AOL but a bit different, I know tumblr also has stories also. I'm sorry I don't know much about genshin!! Sorry I couldn't help!

  • ElDumboTS Dumbo (@ElDumboTS) reported

@TheMomentNerd One major issue - moving away from the 1997 AOL homepage style is upsetting for us Dial-Up users. I hope you switch it back ASAP.

  • upinyourReality LockeJ MaxW (@upinyourReality) reported

@cyber_grinder Straight fax. If you are old enough.....I'll never forget telling people about AOL and people were like, why not use the phone?

  • JenniLBurke Jenni with an I (@JenniLBurke) reported

@RachelMFleming @scottythered Or whatever crap search engine aol had. The one that was on the disc, haha (if you were fancy!)

  • Drew_McMahon Drew McMahon (@Drew_McMahon) reported

@Simplybec81 Believe it or not if you still have an aol mail addrees you can keep it. But now the service along with yahoo is owned by Apollo Global Management.

  • kimashton 💚💜 Kim 💜💚 (@kimashton) reported

@nikkykiki I would make a different email and just use it for events. Just to be safe. I know it is a pain in the *** but to be safe. My parents have issues with AOL too.

  • craigsfire Normal Person - #Vaccinated - that's good enough (@craigsfire) reported

@ElectileDysfx @joshfoxfilm @GeoRebekah IMHE made perfect sense (15K add). I'm data guy (web metrics > 1994 & Compuserve/AOL B4) -also interested in Human Nature. Authoritarians, for example, take a "Leader" narrative as truth. I never do. If one does that- it's unlikely they will ever be convinced otherwise (Q, etc.)
