John Jansen (@thejohnjansen) reported from Camden Town, England@teleject @meyerweb It kinda does though... With MSN Explorer (yes that was a thing in 2001, competing with AOL) we enabled "toast notifications" and the name was because "the little thing popped like the toast on the screensavers." Real toast never does that. It sits there. It sometimes Burns.

Sarah Pilates (@sarahpilates) reported from Camden Town, England@1womanworkforce If he’s working from the aol ap I would delete it and reload. We had a problem with aol a while ago. The old Ap wasn’t working. Change the password just in case on your web version.

8/10 (@8outof10blog) reported from Barnet, England@reece_dinsdale The other two are "Welcome to AOL: you're connected!" and "Goodbye...th-that's it." Damn I need to put these on my new laptop!
-
Angela Casey (@ElfinchickCasey) reported from Enfield Lock, England@sky_waller I scored one. I never knowingly had an AOL account. Don't you feel sorry for today's kids.

Bark Reynolds (@BarkReynolds) reported@CryptoCyberia civilization went demonstrably down hill when AOL started shipping access to the internet to everyone's mailbox
-
Harper Love (@90stomboy) reported@hthieblot AOL teen chat rooms. It’s scary to think I never considered that some of the others there may not have been teens.
-
Respectful Witness (@pauly1UP) reported@WrestleFeatures Millions watched Russo’s “100 horrible ideas” and kept coming back. His garbage retained an audience despite AOL TW's funding issues and lack of support. Triple H has TKO, streaming partners, and every advantage 💰, yet even hardcores say the show is DYING. No accountability here
-
Ary Rosenbaum (@rosenbaumlaw) reported@DavidMWeissman @FadeAwayMedia well, his creative didn’t help, but WCW was a huge casualty of the AOL-Time Warner merger.
-
s (@thirtysevensr) reportedme and my cousin in mexico that I still have never met went from messaging on aol as kids to now talking to each other on TikTok

TheHylander (@TheHyland3r) reported@Magnaspecunias @coinbureau I never said ‘being first’ alone is enough. But being first *while* keeping up with improving your product so that you don’t fall behind the competition is key. AOL couldn’t keep up and it didn’t branch out into other avenues which its competition did. So not an apples to apples comparison, really, either way. “Security comes at the cost of high fees.” Silly statement. One could also them turn that around to say “low fees come at the cost of security” which IS 1) the issue for most of Ethereums competition and 2) is a bigger issue because security is more valued by the finically institutions than speed (which has diminishing returns — you only need to be fast enough while being the most secure). Financial institutions want reliability and decentralization and security far more than they do speed. Speed is the last of their worries. We know that because current trad fi has been happy using the system it’s been using for many decades, which is very slow. That’s because they value security far above speed. Pristine collateral is far more important as well and that’s where ETH shines. “Real innovation.” ETH has been innovating. Nothing is stopping it from implementing new ideas from other chains which it HAS been doing. “Legacy baggage” is just subjective word salad meme coin bag holders use to shill their ghost coins no one wants to use. ETH is more tried and true than those. And fees have constantly come down. With future upgrades it comes down more and gets faster. The newest one will for example give it a few hundred percent increase in speed. So again, just word salad to make yourself sound smart. Also, you don’t understand L2’s.
