@ThalenFirebeard @belghast Our first was AOL on one line, so lots of disconnects. In high school I lived out in the country and it was a long distance call to do anything online, but that was mainly a direct line without a service to play DOOM.

I still have people my age and younger than me, asking me what #Bitcoin is which tells me that we are SO SO SO EARLY IN THE CRYPTO INDUSTRY. We are as early in crypto, as the interent was when we had AOL and Dial up with super slow internet speed and communication. Were so early.

@FoxinAround Probably because the rest of them have hid from COVID for 2 years. Hell X’s&Omar is still virtual! It sounds like crap and Hyde has AOL quality internet. They are ridiculous.

I have my phone set to play the AOL "You've got mail!" sound whenever I get an email. I've never used AOL. I just think it's a useful sound that differentiates it from other notices, nobody else uses it anymore, and it always makes people look at me funny.

@TommyBigBrain @GoodMicWork 2. Bad management AOL/time Warner merger. Wcw as whole was not gonna last bc they weren't apart of the future. Read the book nitro it will give u an insight into what actually happened. BTW Eric was never the booker for wcw. Kevin Sullivan was main guy during that time period

@DrewLawDesign Controversial town - In 1996 AOL's obscenity filter (among others) refused to accept the name due to its embedded word 'c*nt'. Online forums displayed the name as Scumthorpe, or Scoonthorpe. This censorship over-reach is known in the computing world as the Scunthorpe problem.
