Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

The internet is a "bubble" of about 5-10 years worth of information. From info being scrubbed/changed, to the physical problem of servers being online (AOL), the digital age is not to be trusted with any lasting information.

@redsteeze @JohnEkdahl I was logging into BBS, on a 1200 baud modem. Paying by the hour for Prodigy and Compuserve. One of the first on Windows 3.1 (still have it on 3.5"). One of the first on AOL. Still have my 2400 baud. I don't know ****.

  • DiHobday Diane - @Farne@mastodon.au (@DiHobday) reported

@LadyCBean1966 FFS did not know I was old. Scored 1, cos I never had an AOL email acct. Not sure that was a thing in Australia.

  • Sayance1 Sayance (@Sayance1) reported

@_grrlsmurf @redsteeze Never had time to read them anyway. Those AOL free trial hours ran out quick.

  • miked194765 Michael Davis #**** (@miked194765) reported

@jtLOL @PolitiBunny AOL gave me a 2400 modem and free service when they were at an early COMDEX.

  • DavidPe51482177 David Perron (@DavidPe51482177) reported

@jtLOL Pretty sure I never used AOL. We used a dialup provider. It was a bit more hands-on than AOL, but lots faster.

  • wanyinbot Jiang Cheng (@wanyinbot) reported

Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password

  • 8teAPi Ate-a-Pi - e/acc (@8teAPi) reported

@NathanpmYoung 2) so you’re saying the (US) law was equitably applied, but you don’t agree with the law, meaning you’re against the law and for a currently illegal position? Did I get that right? 1) so foiling a bad merger (AOL-Time Warner) should never be done regardless the cost?

  • SpyderCosmic LunaNebula (@SpyderCosmic) reported

@MadPuppy35P @BagelBackpack @Kamaniki Are you seriously trying to make the argument that a well known problem thats been a thing since AoL doesnt happen? Artist ALWAYS set a deadline? What, have you only commissioned 2 people because theres tones of artist with no deadlines Ive dealt with lmao.
