@megansarahj I had AOL right at the end, but luckily I got out before the damage could move at speeds beyond that of my 14.4K dial-up modem that hogged our only phone line.

@liturgicalgay 4 points. Never had AOL or MySpace accounts, never used dialup to access the Internet, and I never owned an encyclopedia. (I used dialup, but to access the older Usenet, not Internet. My parents owned the encyclopedia, not I.)

Anytime I hear some ******, Well known online or not, Say "Bitcoin fixes this" In response to any of the many problems with the financial system, I think to myself, You are either real dumb or real stupid ,or mean crypto technology; Not **** Bitcoin AOL & VHS became obsolete too

@BHawkSnipes I was leaving a temp assignment near Times Square when AOL News notified me that MJ had been rushed to the hospital. I walked from Times Square to my PT appt near Penn Station, and learned that he had passed through a damn chain text. I was devastated.

@markdavies33 @HelenAshby72 @AOL I've had an aol dot com email address for over 20 years. I've never had any more problems with it than any others. I have a back up aol email address for my business, and it never fails me when bt.connect fails (often).
