In the late 90s when people had questions they had to write them down on pieces of paper, put the paper in their wallet, go home, log onto AOL, find the paper, and then ask Jeeves. And he was very often wrong!!!

  • ZoneOnePlaya True Playa For Real Ask Puff Daddy (@ZoneOnePlaya) reported

@BabaYehgar It has since at least MySpace. That was the main place I got exposed to really dumb people on the internet. AOL chat rooms used to be bad too, but Twitter, Facebook, Youtube & Instagram are filled with dumb humans with keyboards.

Just read the Vince Mcmahon AOL webchat transcript from 1998 and that **** is absolutely hilarious. Especially the point where the connection dies and Vince just talks to himself for the entire thing.
