    @battlenet @Diablo So a plan was hatched to purchase a really long phone cable. We used an AOL login from a freeware CD and dialled-up to AOL with an Elsa 64 kbit/s modem. At night, we ran the phone cable out of the window of my dorm into the administrator's office and played through the nights.

    I don't remember exactly what form it was, perhaps it was an AOL message board, but I remember shortly after I came out of the closet in 1991 being told that there would never be a gay character on @nbcdays how times have changed.
