    @KiraLatrice @SixBrownChicks Someone I know’s lawyer uses AOL. I laughed when I saw that ****.

  • timdudleyoneill tim (@timdudleyoneill) reported

    @pacoromane Waiting 45 minutes to load AOL's "Nickelodeon" page on a 2400-baud modem. My little cousin counted down every minute. You'd think we would have lost interest by the time it loaded, but no...it was mind-blowing.

  • cashin_bruce Bruce Cashin (@cashin_bruce) reported

    @LuisMorenolg They banned him before "My Space" & "AOL". Just how forgetful, gullible, &/or stupid does this guy think people are? It doesn't say much for public education system, or the electorate, of FLA.

  • billrintels Certain Speculation (@billrintels) reported

    @PlainBagel5 @titobach @JonErlichman America Online started in 1989 and was DOS based. CompuServe was already the most popular online service. By 1995, AOL had about three million active users and took over the market. The same year, the web browser Netscape launched, displacing Mosiac as the leading web browser.

  • johnlmooring John Mooring (@johnlmooring) reported

    @83Weeks #AskEric Part 2: became diluted and not as effective. If the NWO storyline never happened, resulting in no attitude era; and The AOl merger didn't cause you to abandon that adult audience you hadn't really developed, do you feel WCW would have lasted longer?

  • pdxpcfl PDXPCFL (@pdxpcfl) reported

    @DaybreakGames and @everquest - I'm trying to access my old account, but no longer have access to my original email because AOL killed Netscape off. (Yes, it's that old) Is there any way you can help me? I really want to play again and I want to use my OG Characters.

  • TheMonikaNemeth Monika Nemeth 🐝🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💙 (@TheMonikaNemeth) reported

    @SteveHofstetter @RexChapman Not embarrassing at all. I remember when all of that was happening. The Internet was very very new to the public, and almost no one knew what it was back then. This was before Amazon and Google. AOL was seen as a dial-up service and not an Internet service.

  • angel0wnz @ngel ◎ wnz - ** y.at/👁️❓👁️ (@angel0wnz) reported

    @PeterSchiff @elonmusk Guys never heard of the lightning network. Peter really thinks the internet started and ended with AOL. Pretty sure he still has an @AOL account.

  • wanyinbot Jiang Cheng (@wanyinbot) reported

    Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password

  • sensitivemag Sensitive Skin (@sensitivemag) reported

    @saxena_puru BTC is just a proof of concept - that a trustless ledger (instead of a 3rd party, like a bank) is unbreakable. We're in very early times, web 1995. Trustless ledgers will cut out middlemen from countless industries. BTC is probably AOL or Netscape. Don't yet know who will be AMZN
