Adulting department, successful. Cancelled an email account from an old ISP that I hadn’t been on in (several? Many?) years. Sorry to those 20k plus emails that are never getting read. Goes to the graveyard in the ether, along with my AOL account.

@cjane87 I keep putting the emails in the spam folder, but the filter keeps putting the new ones in my inbox. Maybe AOL just sucks? Everything else I only have to flag once or twice, though.

While I feel really terrible for the female twitch community, I just want to point out that fakes have been around since the aol days. A-list celebrities have battled this for YEARS, it’s going to take a ton of money and a ton awareness to have it go away.

@Tiberius444 This is a troll, right? What bad thing will happen? Is it like AOL where I'd get logged off and spend hours trying to get back on?

@erinbiba @netflix Can I suggest you cancel and only when you actually have something you want to see you subscribe for a month? Let’s call it the new AOL movement. This was how AOL died right?

@alexisohanian Never. College or alum email will exist forever. Most of those addresses actually auto forward to whatever address you set. Your job email will change. Gmail, hotmail or aol are less professional. Made up email with your last name as domain seems more conceited.

@IllyNOTLilly Never heard of or used Paltalk, but I did use AOL chat and Yahoo chat back in the day. I actually had to get an AOL account to be able to access their chatrooms, which is why I gravitated to the free Yahoo chat. I had Netscape Navigator dial-up back then. It was the cheapest.

My 1st experience with automatic renewal was AOL. My aunt warned me, "They are so hard to quit." I joined anyway. When I wanted to quit, a handwritten letter was required before they stopped charging me! Now i never patronize any company that #AutoRenews.
