Oh yes, and back in the waaaay old days (like 1994) internet services (or their closed-circuit predecessors like Prodigy, AOL, and Compuserve) charged BY THe HOUR for service. Think about how many people would stay off the internet if that were the truth today!

@tonyposnanski While people make fun of AOL, I have had the same email addresses for 26 years because they still exist, unlike many email providers. I have never had to go through the hassle of changing my email address with everyone.

Just got my AOL 14k to dial in. Looks like Facebook is down. I'll let you all know in 40min if the error page loads again.

@saleemCh_JK @Facebook This reminds me of when my wife worked for AOL years ago. She has a lawyer call in saying he stored some "important" documents in the AOL briefcase and now their gone. She told him there's no way to restore that, it's gone. He then said, I will no longer use your service. Bye!
