Whoever has taken an ‘AOL’ route into this heaven get off it immediately. There are no shortcuts. That is for you! Do social service the normal way. Do not remain misinformed. Puns aren’t intended to establish a new law of nature. You play GOD, you destroy the world.

Oh yes, and back in the waaaay old days (like 1994) internet services (or their closed-circuit predecessors like Prodigy, AOL, and Compuserve) charged BY THe HOUR for service. Think about how many people would stay off the internet if that were the truth today!

@cyclone_tx Oh man, that can be incredibly frustrating. Sounds like she needs an aggressive web and spam filter. Also, didn't know AOL existed still, lol. I'd install ad block and get a good AV on there, as well as set up desktop links for login pages to her bank and credit cards

@Roshan_Rinaldi Sears mismanaged their stores terribly. Just like Montgomery Ward they refused to evolve. Never thinking that the market was changing. As soon as the PC and AOL hit they should have been all over it. I'm surprised JC Penney is still holding on although they have tried rebranding.

@FabledTiefling All I know about never-ending months is that Eternal September was when in 1993 AOL provided Usenet access to its customers and completely overwhelmed the existing forum culture. I don't know what to do with this information.
