    @sentient_ape1 @0xPrajwal_ Ah, yeah I can't think of a single other alternative to that. Same problem I have with teams and slack and zoom and teamspeak and discord and skype and AOL and mIRC. But we all do exactly that anyway because there's literally no other option.

    @aburk203 @alphafox AOL chat boards, shared AIM, shared MSN Messenger too. Different times: Napster, Limewire, Proxys, Memes, NES, Surge Soda, Lucas Candy, Butterfinger BBs and Mr. T Cereal. Sound of Dial-up, and Saturday night cartoons. A bike outside because for some reason it was ok for a 10YO to leave the house and bike a mile to the the grocery store in a beat down neighborhood. Wow, took me back to a time I didn't have to worry about bills.

    Columbia House is stopping their cd mail order service later this year. Just another thing that was around way longer than I thought, like Netflix stopping their dvd mail service only 3 years ago and AOL stopping their dial up internet service just last year.

    @nkhlday @MaxNordau @esaagar Saagar and the guy before him are not just talking about AI. They're saying the entire internet, going back to yahoo groups, Aol instant messenger and geocities is bad. Which is completely insane.

History never repeats and rhymes only when you tilt your head and squint. In reality, reality is a complex adaptive system that requires constant analysis and logical assessment.     @Scobleizer The moment is set later in retrospect. That's the issue. We look back at the 1000s of moments and pick one. Like AOL CDs but there was much more to the moment. This ebbs in then a crash.
