  • beachgrad05 beachgrad05 (@beachgrad05) reported from Cypress, California

@kevinandbean my brother had AOL and when he died in 2006, I contacted them to cancel. The ******* with AOL kept to his script they use to prevent canceling about how my brother may need access in future to HIS email. I was so angry by time I finally got off the phone.

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • S_Weathers Steven Weathers (@S_Weathers) reported

@EttenGregory @TheRealDisco It definitely was my brother. Once 10yr old me could hop on AOL and find spoilers about whatever was taped already, and "wrestlers real names" lol, the cat was out of the proverbial bag. It's never bothered me that it's a performance. So is every other prime time TV show...

  • MSprague518 Matthew Sprague (@MSprague518) reported

@itsYDG2 There’s a HUGE difference: WCW was owned by AOL/Time Warner then; their people never wanted wrestling, even when WCW was profitable (but Ted Turner kept it until he sold); and WCW was, by ‘01, losing money hand over fist. None of that applies to AEW in 2022.

  • mi6tyAl MightyAl (@mi6tyAl) reported

@ThatEricAlper The CDs from AOL. I thought I was fast at 56.67. I was given a NASA hand me down. It was a 486

  • jahto254 alsalmuss_Jahto (@jahto254) reported

@RobertAlai April is definitely a bad month. Aol.

  • 2PGlyrics two-player game bot (@2PGlyrics) reported

sign on to aol and think of funny things to say she'll always lol, never pretends like she's away

  • HunterFelt Hunter Felt (@HunterFelt) reported

@hunter_lyon I never got beyond the AOL Neverwinter Nights, to be fair, so I'll trust your judgment.

  • charlasek I'm Charlotte (Not Edward Norton) (@charlasek) reported

@ThatEricAlper I was a kid as the internet rolled out so my memory of what was internet vs not is fuzzy. AOL CD-ROMs are probably the earliest. One time my phone line got crossed with a neighbor down the street and I couldn’t get online until they hung up their call.

  • kenmegalopsuxos doorknob (@kenmegalopsuxos) reported

@riotsurvivor AOL chat room, 1997 Me: are you really Satan? Satan669: yeah Me: do you have any proof or are you just talking ****?

  • MinervaRaye Minerva Raye Omega🎸🎶 (Unhinged Arc) 🇷🇺🏳️‍⚧️ (@MinervaRaye) reported

@GregGOLD19 @BrandonThurston Yes it is. Discovery probably doesn’t want wrestling in any of their networks because they see it as too “low brow” (oh the f’n irony) and have bad exp with TNA before. Just like what happened with AOL and WCW. AEW would survive, but their current TV deal is as good as dead

  • Coolydee Fooly Cooly Dee (@Coolydee) reported

@Chris_Najdek @AmusingLuis @BrandonThurston They could simply not want professional wrestling on their profile. Similar to how TNT never wanted wrestling on their networks in the 90's but put up with it until the AOL Time Warner merger.
