Dear @AOL as irony wins the love of a good Rick Roll, “never going to give you up, never going to let you down.” I will need AOL dial up service to win the next (good guy hacker from 1995) revolution using CRT monitors in 2021. Getting service now. (Let’s see)

@kaydacode My first "enterprise" job had MSN, AOL, GChat, and irc based on cliques. I pushed for standardization around Jabber, but that was too effective and free so we had to buy an "enterprise solution" that everybody hated.

@ArizonaAudit Have you tried calling tech support? I'm sure some helpful person can teach you how to use a computer, maybe even search the world wide web with your AOL CD

  • Nixons_Head_ Nixon's Head (@Nixons_Head_) reported

@SteelNicho I had 2 phone lines 1 fax line and 1 line for AOL for email at my office a very long time ago. I was tasked with figuring out how to give our 4 employees their own email addresses, so I learned how to set up a network. I think we used netscape back then, haha. Humble beginnings.

@MattWalshBlog I remember getting the internet and using internet explorer. My grandma also had AOL and it was extremely slow. The internet was a weird thing back then. I also remember you cooking talk on the phone or be on the web at the same time. Simpler times.
