Shocking service from @curryspcworld today - waited in for 6.5hrs for a dishwasher that never turned up. Two different stories from the driver, both of which were crap. Now ordered with @AOL who will hopefully do a better job on Tuesday 👍🏻

@CAAnnieBananie I know right? It was so fun. Going from usenet news to graphics felt like we climbed a mountain. I think charging for message boards was a big fumble. And I never got comfy on AOL for some reason.

@JedMSP @tamaranopper Back in the day there were places you wouldn't want your email account or website hosted, but it didn't mean email as a whole was bad. Like, there was stigma against having an AOL email, but it didn't mean you didn't want to participate in email at all.

@elonmusk @Twitter Twitter has always been hot garbage. If Elon Musk runs Twitter into the ground, if Twitter goes the way of AOL and My Space he’ll have saved the human race. #TwitterSucks

My first proper email address was @aol.com. I remember being so excited to set a ‘proper’ @btinternet.com account in 1998. My Mastodon account today is like AOL. Would anybody like to set up a business with me to host a paid-for Mastodon service with QoS standards? #mastodon.

@jack_daniel I have been thinking about those as email addresses. Some of your friends are using aol, some are using MSN.... At least it's not as bad as those damn fidonet email addresses :)

@oalexious @sunnydecree You can't get Netflix to do well by tearing down Blockbuster. You can't get Google to do well by tearing down Yahoo or AOL. What?!
