Michael Kenny (@thistleboy1) reported from Bishopbriggs, Scotland@bt_uk Why can't you do better than "Your call will be answered ASAP"? As Comms co. you must be able to give estimate of hold time to let customer choose to stay on the line or try later. Others do it! Answered after 13mins. Transferred to Billing 15mins and again to Pay 14mins.

Adam Darke (@adarkelimited) reportedAnother 3 hours on phone to @bt_uk today. Still unresolved, still no call back from manager, still no email as promised from bosses. Comfortably the worst customer service in the UK.
-
Tru Benjamin (@TruTruThinks) reported@WeAreOpenreach @btbusinesscare @BTBusiness appalling breach of service. 4 dates have now passed where we were told broadband would be fixed. BT seem to think this is acceptable as 'it's subject to change' How are we supposed to run a business with no comms!! 4 weeks & counting
-
CARL ROBINSON (@CARLOSUK01) reported@btbusinesscare please cancel my order as you seem incapable of delivering a service and can’t even manage to transfer me to a supervisor to escalate my complaint when you change my installation yet again - that’s almost 4 weeks waiting now 🙁
-
JB (@tinkjlb) reported@bt_uk absolutely disappointing service from you! 4 missed installation appointments, 4 days of annual leave WASTED!!!! Please tell me how much annual has to be used before you will actually connect the service so I can have WiFi to work from home and watch tv? Exhausting!

Trevor Chenery (@Krisp06) reported@countrymousie @btbusinesscare I wouldn't have thought so. You can keep your landline but you would need to move it -eventually - to a 'digital supplier' when the line service finally ends. However, I checked with Dr Google & his Elves & they made the following points which sound like very good news. "Starlink does not directly provide a traditional copper landline service, but it can fully replace one as part of the UK PSTN switch-off by supporting Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. You can keep your existing phone number and handset by using a VoIP adapter connected to the Starlink router, suitable for replacing old copper lines. How it Works: Starlink provides high-speed internet, allowing you to use third-party VoIP providers (e.g., Plexatalk, Premitel) to make calls via your internet connection. Requirements: You will need a VoIP Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) to plug your existing telephone handset into the Starlink Wi-Fi router. Suitability: VoIP over Starlink is ideal for rural areas where copper is being removed, offering sufficient speed and reliability.Alternatives: If you do not wish to use VoIP, you may look at mobile phone-based solutions, which are also often used when replacing old copper lines. As the UK moves towards a digital-only network by 2027, switching to a VoIP service via a broadband connection like Starlink is a common solution." You need to find & check it al lout with a good IT man to help you through the key steps & stages. You may also need to invest in new telephone hand sets around your house to replace your old BT ones. You won't need wires to connect them, it all works digitally through the air.

Andy Mich (@MrAndyMich) reported@bt_uk I’m absolutely disgusted, in this day & age of phone scams you have people phoning from unsolicited numbers about contract renewal (+44 1438 989233). All the person on the other end of the phone could say was “I promise I work on behalf of BT”. I said I can promise I’m the king of England. Do you see how stupid and dangerous this practice is? I think as a company you desperately need to review this, it’s dangerous and it’s making me think if you can be trusted at all. In this day and age it’s unforgivable to do this in this manner.

Deborah Sacks (@deborahsacks) reportedOddly, their chatbot still isn’t dealing with the issue! @bt_uk @EE
