  @LeilaniDowding @EE We had a power cut Saturday, WE LOST OUR BROADBAND CONNECTION FOR 4 HOURS. the providers of our fibre optic broadband had a recorded message on their phone line to "email them" or use their website to report an issue !

  @LeilaniDowding @EE There will be something for those communities they can’t legally leave a house without a connection I’ve just moved my elderly parents over to digital home phone there are backup lines for pendant alarms.   @LeilaniDowding @EE The old PSTN network is being phased out (copper wires, low voltage old school telephones) as I recall. The phones you're thinking of won't be around much longer. Unless someone tells me otherwise.
