Tom Tugendhat (@TomTugendhat) reportedI’m in Dulwich. One of the more expensive areas of London, supposedly a global city, and I’m getting worse mobile phone reception that I did in Kabul a decade ago. I pay for two contracts: @O2 and @EE and neither is reliable so I can’t work. Mobile phones are useless in vast areas of Britain and have got worse. You can never work on a train, unlike in France. But we’re spending £4.5 billion in bike lanes and crossings. This government is prioritising virtue signalling vanity projects when we need infrastructure urgently.
-
Jon Techilovsky (@jontechilovsky) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE It's funny how when the private sector is doing something well it's solely down to them, but when the private sector performs badly it's the government's fault. BT(EE) made a profit of £1 billion last year. There is nothing stopping them using those funds to improve coverage.
-
Andy (@justandy2068) reportedLeaving @EE as the signal/data speed has been poor. Can't log into my account, can't view my bills . Transfer happens tomorrow #giveup
-
𝐷𝑟. 𝐼𝑎𝑛 𝐶𝑢𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠 (@IanCutress) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE What did you do in the years you were in government to fix it? Plenty of time to do something, and yet. Stop virtue signalling and find some introspection.
-
superposh (@pboromikky) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Same issues in half of east anglia. Its a joke.
-
iBRAR (@ibrar_dev) reported@EE @TomTugendhat Hang on didnt the tory govt run a massive anti waaaaah waaaaaay campaign or was it the Americans who moaned about it. They were offering to upgrade our networks and then magically spying accusations started appearing in the media.
-
Jon Burke 🌍 (@jonburkeUK) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Can Tom Tugendhat MP explain why he thinks we shouldn’t build the kind of - excellent value - safe cycling infrastructure that characterises affluent societies like the Netherlands because, err, private companies can’t provide him with a decent phone signal?
-
WhyDoYouCare? (@BidSurreal) reported@gavmarten @EE @TomTugendhat True, but reliability is an issue.
-
CookieBuoy (@RyanNoKneel) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Charge it to the taxpayer on expenses and get the govt to bankrupt them. And then **** off, parasite
-
Lesley (@mbroschools) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Well think of it this way, Tom. Nobody ever got run over by a car when their phone signal went.
