this argument will never fail to be ridiculous... i only had freeview tv, internet that wasn’t unlimited & i didn’t have a smartphone until i could pay for one when i got a job at 16. yet i still needed free school meals so i didn’t go hungry at lunch. the tabloids are full of bs

@HjRobins @MaxCCurtis There used to have a few hundred homes they would survey, and extrapolate fron that. These days, digital TV boxes (Sky, Freesat, Virgin, some Freeview, etc, as well as streaming services send much more accurate data down the phone line about what you're watching.

@tinytwink The poor shouldn't have anything they have to work for. Big screen TV - nope. Netflix - what's wrong with Freeview? Mobile phone - can't they walk to the phone box on the corner that was disconnected five years ago. They think if you're poor you should suffer or not be poor.

@FreeviewTV my postcode is RH118UP, no 3 Punnetts Court. Have been having issues for a while now with disappearing channels but since yesterday morning all freeview channels are gone

@PopcornBambino @WeAreWST Stuck between a rock and a hard place. I think it's important that snooker retains a Freeview presence. It's not as popular or as affluent as other sports. Saying that, the BBC treats it like an after thought and a way of filling daytime schedules. It's coverage is often poor.

@MoneySavingExp I pay for a home phone I don't use, TV service I can get on freeview or freesat and internet I could get cheaper and faster elsewhere, even via a spare mobile as access point if desperate. Definitely cancelling @virginmedia as I am financing new customers deals.
