I love all the drama from people complaining about the emergency alerts... "I DIDN'T CONSENT!". It's a broadcast. The gvt doesn't have access to your phone via emergency alerts. It's as intrusive as the BBC Freeview signal. Keep the alerts on. They could save your life.

@FreeviewAdvice Our JVC smart TV will only let us change channels if we go onto the Freeview Play Guide, it won’t change if we just type in the number using the remote (remote works for everything else. Any help please? We’ve also got an issue with bbc iPlayer not working.

@paraman31 @DrHoenderkamp Even digital TVs when they need a rescan can cause issues. I help a handful of people out with this task when their freeview tv or box doesn’t auto update…many don’t.

@MarkDob_ Oh really? Suppose Jarrett knows the value of a good TV deal in the UK from Impact’s run on Challenge. Challenge airing in FreeView was a huge help in drawing those big houses for TNA in the UK during the first half of the 2010s
