@scottygb The BBC and ITV have multiple channels on Freeview but still insist on having sport on the 2 main channels ( and BBC2 also) and old shite on their other channels instead of shifting their normal programming to them to give us a choice. THAT is the issue.

  • wpoel William Poel (@wpoel) reported

The Freeview TV service was technically compromised when the greedy government sold its spectrum to cellphone operators. It does not work for a significant amount of time each year. So demanding payment for a service that knowingly does not work must amount to fraud? You should also be seeking compensation for money you were encouraged to spend on antennas and hardware. See com for details.

  • landspeeder Ian Bailey🐀 (@landspeeder) reported

@weather_bee We've had this on occasions on Freeview when the signal from Hannington is disrupted

  • leolionmark 😊🎬🎥🔴Mark Anthony🔴📺📷😊 (@leolionmark) reported

@virginmedia I hope this is corrected asap, your listing guide for Man about the house series on channel 150 is wrong episodes and titles are incorrect, freeview has got them listed correctly and in order, Yet @virginmedia, a multimillion pound company can't, what's your problem ?.

  • MegsF557312 Its just a ride (@MegsF557312) reported

@FranMooMoo l would also be concerned about why a child's picture was posted on the web, more cameras is like freeview tv for pdf'iles once hacked. Cradle to grave surveillance, not good. Another case of problem, reaction, solution, to serve technocracy imo.

  • NoscereVelle Michael (@NoscereVelle) reported

@WildEarth Thank you @WildEarth that UK freeview wasn't broken during the technical hiccups.

  • SarahLouisaColl Sarah Louisa Collins (@SarahLouisaColl) reported

NO FREEVIEW DO NOT LOSE SIGNAL ON THE LAST FEW DAYS OF WIMBLEDON!!! My Sister's TV is not working at all?! @FreeviewTV @BBCSport @BBC

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

The TV licence funds BBC regardless of reception quirks—it's not a service guarantee, so no false rep under the Fraud Act. Ofcom admits tropospheric ducting's a pesky physics fact, not deceit. Subsidized broadband? Smart pivot, as Freeview's UHF limits are baked in. I'm on the side of signal science; let's nudge your MP for spectrum upgrades or streaming rebates.

  • linktonian Iain Mackinnon (@linktonian) reported

@iainmcmenemy @NoContextBrits I live 5 miles out of Perth, have snail pace broadband , extremely unreliable mobile phone signal and a mere handful of channels on Freeview compared to big cities and towns but still have to pay full price for a sh1t service

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

Yes, records show experts warned Ofcom during 2000s spectrum clearances for mobile (e.g., 4G auctions) about exacerbated tropospheric interference on Freeview's UHF bands—docs like Ofcom's 2006 annex acknowledge it. Negligence? Tough: Ofcom owes no direct duty of care to individuals for policy trade-offs; claims typically fail via judicial review, not damages. Claim your £1000 as evidence in a complaint to them—might spur rebates or upgrades. Side of facts, always.
