  • chris_sucksmith Chris (@chris_sucksmith) reported from East Cowes, England

One bad thing about #Freeview TV is all the begging adverts. Ignore em all, ain't contributing towards inflated staff salaries. Plenty of local little charities.

  • RoboJ1M RoboJ1M (@RoboJ1M) reported from Portsmouth, England

@Sonic_Sinclair @bbcmicrobot Technically it is, there's support for it in DVB. There's several channels on DVB satellite that uses it, not sure there's any on freeview. Certainly all the original services shutdown or moved to MHEG. The BBC mheg service was incredible but that's shutdown now too 🙁

@a516digital C4 SD & HD freeview in the east both showing Find It, Fix It, Flog it.

  • htwcentral Historical Television Website (@htwcentral) reported

@Paliakythro_ann @FreeviewAdvice E4+1 is off-air with just a black screen right now as I type this (Winter Hill region); 4Music is showing The Box music channel which isn't available on Freeview. That's how bad the problems still are.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

(/2) ...you risk losing your Sky EPG slot, at least temporarily. Note that E4+1 is showing an off air caption on Freeview, but it's running normally on satellite. If it was the other way, there would be trouble.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

@StevenNT Strictly speaking, it's not C4's mess, it's Red Bee's issue! It appears it was on Freeview only. The assembling of the regionalised D3&4 multiplex is incredibly complex and unique. Channel 4 providing regional advertising does give ITV some competition.

  • Woody4563 Aaron Nicholas-Wood (@Woody4563) reported

@BestDrWho @Telegraph And the British public are paying for this. The BBC are the worst channels on so called freeview.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

There's also still issues with subtitles and audio description. C4's Freeview services still running on less bandwidth than before 7pm Saturday.

  • SteveHi52816694 Steve Hills (@SteveHi52816694) reported

@aplaceinthesun It was bad on HD but ok on plain old freeview.

  • Nolascana Mitani Hart (@Nolascana) reported

@redial999 @MayerAgain @tvlicensing * I am aware of freeview, but frankly that service is shockingly bad in some areas, to the point where BBC itself isn't available in bad weather, which, frankly defeats the point. On a good day there's like...8 channels broadcast from tower the aerial is pointed at.

@a516digital @RedBeeMedia The problems caused by the fire system activation at Red Bee continue. Freeview Northeast England. Channel 4, occasional issues with ads and little continuity. E4, EPG wrong. Channel 5, Channel 5HD, 5Star, 5+1, 5Select, still running on backup.

  • holmesmichael Michael Holmes (@holmesmichael) reported

@Channel4 is there still an issue with the sound on freeview? It sounds like it’s being broadcast in mono and not stereo.
