Nix at Home (@NighyNikki) reported from Worthing, England@Phil_Nourse @colinshone2 And the people said I’ll watch freeview and then said, well that wasn’t so bad and decided to cancel their virgin bloody broadband and moved to Sky on a better deal than £80 per month and now pay £49. That’s what we did 😁
-
Victor Olliver (@VictorOlliver) reported from Sompting, EnglandWatching Ideal World on Freeview ch 51. Peter Simon still flogging stuff you never knew you needed. Exercise freak is advertising a vibrating machine and he has varicose veins. Much preferred Simon on Bid TV where he was allowed to go bonkers. He looks fitter now tho, relatively.

Paul is the Chosen one. (@PaulworkingforU) reported@GBNEWS Requested. Terminate. GB news broadcast licence. Then issue broadcast licence to Ruptly Today. For to commence out put on air on British Freeview channel 236.. Thankyou..
-
JPMelly (@JPMelly1) reported@MarnellRoi53898 @setantaspup Oh didn’t know that, guess you need a satellite or cable service to get it. Not available on Irish Freeview (Soarview) which makes sense. Would imagine a large %tage of Irish homes subscribe to a service that gives them access to the Beeb anyway.
-
Edd Sirr (@eddsirr) reported@TAFKASB @scriptwren They use BBC 4 because it's a lot lower number down the Freeview EPG.
-
Jane Fleming (@fleming77) reportedThe government is considering the future of television distribution, which could affect the prospects of the digital terrestrial platform that is marketed at Freeview. and the public service broadcasters that fund it, wants to switch if off by 2034.
-
Anne Wells (@annewells26) reported@NotFarLeftAtAll All part of controlling us. I don’t have TV packages only Freeview & my internet is bad so don’t watch much anyway, barely anything in summer. Unfair for the elderly.
-
John Shale (@JohnShale864551) reported@UKLabour I'd say there are enough channels on Freeview for the open university to train up the people we need for #NHS etc. foreign pupils could enrol and pay for registration. it could even support advertising and be used similar to the bbc overses broadcasts in WWII
-
ChaLee 查理男孩 (@boy_cha83714) reportedIt's a good thing I am not reliant on terrestrial TV as the signal is as choppy as **** tonight. Freeview over the net is perfect. Been the same since the Bilsdale transmitter caught fire.
-
Andy.✝️🇬🇧 (@Smeeghee) reported@GBNEWS Why don’t you broadcast in HD on Freeview!! Ffs, it looks crap compared to Sky!
-
Selene Mariposa (@Selene_Mariposa) reported@LillacTyanu This is the most accurate breakdown in the thread, so thank you. You are right, the fee is for live TV, Freeview comes preloaded, and if you never connect the aerial or watch live you do not owe it. They can chase you, but the burden is on them to prove you watched. That nuance is the whole ballgame. The fee leans on people not knowing they already have the exit. You clearly do. 🦋

Matt Quinn - The Caledonian Television Company. (@Matt_Q_OnX) reported@sparry951 @diablik_uk @BENEFITS_NEWS It'll be a slow creep; for many years now some channels on the Freeview EPG have in fact been streamed. Freeview recorders are still readily available for those that want them; if you're using Sky/Virgin etc. you're already NOT using the Freeview service that is 'under threat'.
