@Phil_Nourse @colinshone2 And the people said I’ll watch freeview and then said, well that wasn’t so bad and decided to cancel their virgin bloody broadband and moved to Sky on a better deal than £80 per month and now pay £49. That’s what we did 😁

Watching Ideal World on Freeview ch 51. Peter Simon still flogging stuff you never knew you needed. Exercise freak is advertising a vibrating machine and he has varicose veins. Much preferred Simon on Bid TV where he was allowed to go bonkers. He looks fitter now tho, relatively.

@putthetellyon And on top of that HD channels are actually closing down on Freeview. The picture quality of low bit-rate SD channels is increasingly an issue in a world where people have bigger TV and HD streaming services as the norm.

@netflix having received a price increase today. I will be cancelling. Didn't anyone tell you about the cost of living in the UK. Seems nobody gives a damn. Profits before people eh! In the bin, Freeview is perfect

@EdwardsChef @claudelittner @SkyUK I have been informed now that if my equipment breaks down and I don't take out sky protect i will have to pay for a callout. No problem, ill get freeview, end of x

@robert_lawman Possibly never. ADSL the only option. Fibre been on telegraph poles for a year (falling trees permitting) but then copper wire from pole to Set top box. 20Mb/s max (ambitious). 1Mb/s up. Unlimited GBs cos must have French Freeview TV. 34ish p/m (averaged) over 2yr contract.

@minxlj It's a channel we never watch. Unless they had F1 on way back, we've only ever tuned in for the rugby since we moved here. Next time I'm downstairs I'll set the Freeview box to record it. Could be the programme that changes it all. 🤔
