@Webbo2306 I’ve sorted it. Didn’t pay for HD as most Freeview channels are already in HD. It’s just the Sky channels that you have to pay for and I don’t really watch them much. Works out I’m paying £15 a month extra on my internet, so not bad. 👍🏻

  • raymierussell Raymond Russell (@raymierussell) reported

@ImagesZx It seems to rely on what the definition of live TV. If a live program is available on Freeview, Cable TV or Sky (or any related streaming service) then that requires a license. You need fire example a license to watch Sky News live on YouTube. (1/2)

  • rook_mike PapaBear (@rook_mike) reported

The FREEVIEW transmitter on Guildford's Hog's Back is DOWN. No Freeview TV reception in and around Guildford. UNPRECEDENTED! No idea when NORMAL service will resume.

  • dougmcfarlane41 Douglas Mcfarlane (@dougmcfarlane41) reported

Not receiving a service who would. A plan that will back fire as I will film the "inspector" when he comes and he demonstrate how&why I should have a licence, good luck with that... Seriously getting pissed off with #BBC @tvlicensing no signal no money from me sort Freeview out

  • vetchfieId wandering jack® 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (@vetchfieId) reported

@SkyHelpTeam Regretting getting skygo. Not only are we basically paying for freeview the satellite signal has been gone all evening. This isn't the 1970s. Absolute joke and will be cancelled.

  • MadenRon Ron Maden (@MadenRon) reported

@brianwinteruk @Al_Hine @ThatsTVXmas It's neither the TV, Freesat or Freeview it is the broadcaster sending out a widescreen signal: Bit rate mode: Variable Bit rate: 1294 Kbps Maximum bit rate: 15.0 Mbps Width: 544 pixels, Height: 576 pixels Display aspect ratio: 16:9 Frame rate: 25.000 fps Scan type: Interlaced

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

@MisterVivian @cleanfeed_ttvr Saorview uses DVB-T / MPEG4, so it's the other way around. MPEG4 actually allows broadcasters to fit more channels on a multiplex. As a result, Sky News at 704x576 can be done at similar bitrates as a 544x576 service on UK Freeview. You may remember Sky once wanted to launch...

  • Hussyville Hussyville (@Hussyville) reported

Olivia giving Ruby a stern dressing-down is something that I would pay non-Freeview money to see. #MadeInChelsea

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

@MisterVivian @cleanfeed_ttvr ...a pay TV service on UK DTT called Picnic. The idea was to use MPEG4 to fit in four channels in the space occupied by three MPEG2 channels. [MPEG2 in combination with DVB-T is still the standard used for most Freeview channels]

  • HenseyP pet hen (@HenseyP) reported

@virginmedia @ianwlfc96 CH657BX area no tv , no phone , thank god for freeview, why do we pay for a tv service that you cannot watch
