Thought I'd put the tv on for a change....channels aren't tuned apparently. Erm. Built in freeview on my TV. Tried auto tune but it's not finding anything. Any ideas?? #idiot #ineverwatchit

  • drtoriaredfern Toria Redfern (@drtoriaredfern) reported

Never mind. Sky Arts doesn't work on the Freeview app. OF COURSE it doesn't.

  • lewysstacey Andrew Harris (@lewysstacey) reported

@SteffApCennydd What you talking about, freeview could still continue for all the other channels all the BBC would need to do is make a sub service for its existing service as the BBC, they already have the iPlayer set up it's relatively easy to change that to a sub service.

  • linuxbsdpirate printf(“¢няιѕ м¢gιмρѕєу-נσηєѕ”); (@linuxbsdpirate) reported

I literally never watch Freeview. I made the mistake of switching it on and remembered how much I hate being bombarded with betting and gambling ads.

  • NomadicBritish The British Nomad👳🏻‍♂️ (@NomadicBritish) reported

What happened next truly happened, due to positioning around the table, only myself & the boy could see the TV, he accidentally typed in the number for a freeview **** channel. Not sure what to do, I elected to ignore what he had done & head-down, nibbled on the samosa (3/5)

  • timburrows Tim Burrows (@timburrows) reported

@JCalvert_music Not sure about that. Their intended audience already has YouTube to see this stuff on. Flicking through Freeview sucks. Maybe there'll be some traction with soundbite snippets being shared online? But I just can't see it being a new Sky News. Maybe it's a long game

  • DrAndrewR Andrew (@DrAndrewR) reported

@TheRealRevK @LGUK Sony are at it too. After buying the TV you have to accept the terms and conditions of data processing or it won’t let you watch anything. To this day I haven’t tuned the thing for freesat or freeview as I refuse to accept the awful terms.

  • BFujer birgit fujer 💙 (@BFujer) reported

@MMaureen01 @aimee60221197 I have only freeview, oh my the weekend is really rubbish. Thank goodness for music, books and my current sunday treat RTE one book readings.

  • PaulFrame85 "Welcome to Handforth" (@PaulFrame85) reported

Stupid question l know but how much does it cost to get a TV station on to Freeview?

  • fingers_terry Terry_Fish_Fingers (@fingers_terry) reported

@Paul_Ilett @virginmedia Every single paid for subscription tv service will offer it as freeview. Just don't watch it if you don't agree with it. You need to realise that some people want to enjoy its fresh alternate offering.
