@CraigS0309 People are arguing about this very advice. Take a Sky engineer, if your Sky box or dish breaks. One person argued it shouldn’t be fixed & use Freeview. Problem with that for me is 1) I don’thave Freeview as no aerial and 2) I pay Sky extra to cover equipment

  • miss_traceydav Tracey Davies (@miss_traceydav) reported from Corby, England

@CraigS0309 I agree but they shouldn’t be taking new customers - fixing only. (Since they generally charged extra for this service). some people are a bit naive presuming everyone has access to Freeview

  • MarkSJordan Mark Jordan (@MarkSJordan) reported from Ketton, England

@geoffpgreen @MrsBDent I'd negotiated it down for years and eventually they said no, so I cancelled. 32mb Fibre broadband and HD freeview for £30/month with TalkTalk. Amazon Prime for £80/year. Everything I need.

  • jackstow Jack Stow (@jackstow) reported from Stamford, England

Unplugged the Freeview aerial several weeks ago while moving some stuff around. Never plugged it back in. Nobody has noticed. #streaming

@pipmadeley I've got the same problem. On the backup freeview aerial so it's not urgent to fix. Local firm I queried with is callout at £50 to cover for up to an hour. Parts and repair £20 on top. If it's a long job you could be looking at £100+.

  • andythelodge andy (@andythelodge) reported from Clifton, England

@333peterobinson I've had nothing but problems viewing @RacingTV since they made me have @amazon Firestick due to no longer available on freeview

  • EmmaLRowan Emma Rowan (@EmmaLRowan) reported

Help! So I’ve moved into a new house. My internet is set up and working but when I go onto my TV and try to access my catch up channels it will only pick up BBC and ITV? Any ideas? I need channel 4?!! #Freeview #OnDemand #Channel4 @virginmedia

  • DonnyA05 Donny (@DonnyA05) reported

    @BillyNelsonBox @MartinBakole17 400k on a freeview station involving a home fighter, that’s horrible

  • Avis10J JAvis (@Avis10J) reported

Hi is anyone else having issues with freeview today? No signal all day!

  • Iain643 Iain Dear (@Iain643) reported

@FoggWee This is true Yesterday morning flicked across to the TalkingPictures TV Channel 82 freeview Anyway short film about centre of London from 1935!!! and Westminster was covered in Scaffolding I thought that's not bad 87 Years later nothing has changed

  • UKurbanite UK Urbanite (@UKurbanite) reported

@DefundBBC The problem with a subscription service, it that it needs subscription hardware. When Freeview first appeared, receivers often included a card slot, allowing encrypted channels to be decoded. If similar functionality still exists, I've seen no sign of it.

@andyAVAVsystems yeah seemed to me that people just either upgraded to HDTVs with freeview built in or just brought cheap boxes never knew of anyone who actually used topup tv

  • BBCNWT BBC North West (@BBCNWT) reported

@JohnHammond73 We are already broadcasting in HD on VirginMedia Cable channel 101, and on the new Sky Glass service. Engineering work is taking place to enable HD on Freeview and regular Sky.
