@FreeviewAdvice We have a relatively new television that, although we have retuned it, we do not get any main channels - BBC1 etc and several other channels. Could it be a receiver problem or a Freeview problem. Also takes ages to change channels. (Milton Keynes)

Continually frustrated by @TalkTalk and its inconsistent service and performance. Have today purchased a freeview recorder to replace their box and will be actively looking for new broadband provider.

  • HarryBarnes Harry Barnes 🥾🌍 (@HarryBarnes) reported

@LGUK hi, you've announced Freeview play support for 2021 models. Will your 2020 models receive this? I've just bought your BX model for a fairly substantial amount, so would expect support. Thanks.

  • a516digital Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reported

ITV is to close its SD service in the West Country for viewers with Sky or Freesat. West Country regional news will only be available in HD. There are no changes on Freeview or Virgin Media.

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@a516digital Oh yes, forgot about this, thats rearing its ugly head, more problems for freeview, com 7 springs to mind here,

  • rhydsnewi Rhydian Edwards (@rhydsnewi) reported

@LankyCarGuy Because Freeview transmitters have only a fixed number of frequencies they can broadcast a signal on. Each frequency can carry a number of separate channels, but that number depends on the quality. Reduce the quality and you can fit more channels (and more revenue) in.

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@scotthatley @a516digital @ukdtt Freeview is very poor under the relay service, if they decide to bring in an ip fallback option, that should be there first priority,

  • usermac86 Mac (@usermac86) reported

@BigJohnnyArcher Didn't LG say that on the 2020 line they had an issue arranging the license agreement with Freeview Play and that they would be adding Freeview Play once they can arrange agreement at a later date ?

  • PCarmichaelVO Paul Carmichael (@PCarmichaelVO) reported

@Oldgitsville The disabled as nobody else makes programmes for them. Same goes for Welsh and Gaelic speakers. Also school kids who access BBC Educational resources for free at school/college & the poor/elderly who use Freeview would be screwed as the licence fee pays to maintain transmitters.

  • ByChrisSmith Chris Smith (@ByChrisSmith) reported

@Simon_OW Wasn't it terrible? It was like something you'd see on an obscure Freeview channel, not the platform with the biggest original content budget in the world.

  • mrsverypicky Sue Reeve ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈🕊️🕷️ (@mrsverypicky) reported

Wee #Sushi 🍣 is listening intently @simonmayo ! Struggling to get @greatesthitsuk here in Glasgow, other than on app. 2 TV's, both with Freeview, 1 has major sound issues trying to play it.
