Could it be a receiver problem or a Freeview problem. Also takes ages to change channels. (Milton Keynes)

George (The UK Action Team) (@UKAT_George) reportedPrecisely and if the BBC want to discontinue running the freeview service and save money on upkeep of the transmitters why do we have to pay the licence fee. If you decide to only watch non BBC live channels online which you pay for by having broadband then the licence is wrong.

LDH Marketing (@LDHMarketing) reported@BENEFITS_NEWS It also eats up a lot of your broadband. No problem if you're on an unlimited package, but for people on cheaper, restricted usage packages, that will cost. Freely is good where reception is poor, but Freeview is still needed.

You are right, the fee is for live TV, Freeview comes preloaded, and if you never connect the aerial or watch live you do not owe it. They can chase you, but the burden is on them to prove you watched. That nuance is the whole ballgame. The fee leans on people not knowing they already have the exit. You clearly do. ๐ฆ
