@HumaxUK only had this fvp-500t since 7th may 20 and its on the blink, freezes, losing recorded programs and Freeview is so slow. Has updates April 2019 but still poor. I would not recommend this at all.

@Philips @philips_uk @FreeviewTV I recently purchased a Philips Ambilight 55PUS8204/12 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Google Assistant does it support Freeview play as I can't get the apps to work.

Pensioners, our TV broke down today, just ordered our first ever HD Freeview TV, paid a TV Licence for 50 years so why not embrace this technology we have paid the BBC for all these year @DefundBBC

@Sharon43068108 Very annoying! They are now showing the same match on BBC 1 AND 2. We are in a hotel room son only have Freeview. Going to watch Bridget Jones Diary on itv2 - I have my fingers crossed it's not too rude for the kids 🤣 (from what I remember, I think it's ok)

@kelvmackenzie Can anyone answer a question for me? If the TV licence is specifically for the BBC, why must I pay for a TV licence if I "watch or record TV on any channel - via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, BT, Freeview, Freesat)" I don't ever watch BBC channels or use iPlayer....????

@beth__moreton In saying that, my area doesn't have CITV (or the mux it broadcasts on) on Freeview as it's a relay. So I've never been able to access it via Freeview (but it can be on Freesat which is more of an expense to set up...)

@Broadcastnow Poor move @ITV @ITVX - the channel still rates relatively healthily and in Freeview homes especially is serving an audience who may not have access to reliable online streaming (not that ITVX is a reliable online streamer!)

@WhoPotterVian I never had an issue with ITV Hub but ITVX just crashes all the time. Took their advice eventually and uninstalled it and reloaded it and now it doesn't work at all. And it works on less devices than it did before - even on a new Freeview Play device bought just last year

@KevinPMeagher @BriW74 It's 'The Eagle Has Landed', on BBC Four, right now, and i-Player for a few weeks' - complete with Donald Sutherland and ludicrously bad 'Irish' accent. No sign of 'Where Eagles' Dare' on any of the Freeview channels for the next while.

@dangermouse2 @alanshearer @DannoMkII The service isn't the BBC, it's freeview channels and other live TV channels. You don't have to pay it just because you own a device that could do that, only if you use it for that.
