People who have Freeview - is it just a one off cost for the box or subscription and can you record stuff? (Am trying to figure out tv options and can't get virgin and sky i think you need a dish. Aerial is crap here)

@FreeviewAdvice Hi there. I know this is not your issue but someone i know wants to get RTE Irish tv in northern ireland but only a couple of channels are coming through. What can she do to pick them all up? Are some Irish channels on UK Freeview also?

@LouLCC Eurosport used to be on freeview so maybe worth a check. The lad who passed was best friends with a girl 2 doors down from us and he was always in their garden, didn't know him, but when they passed they always said hello. Very sad as seems he was pushed and couldn't swim 😭😭

@GBNews I am on the IOW and for the last 4 or 5 days the Freeview channel 236 has not been working, no signal. Very disappointed.

Today I've been working to Greatest Hits Radio and Smooth Radio. Mainly as I had to get stations on Freeview due to wangy internet, but I've never felt more middle aged.

Just a real shame that @BBCRedButton is only in SD on Freeview as the picture quality is very poor - poorer than usual IMO. They could easily have provided live coverage in HD by cutting the hours of @CBBC HD for the fortnight.

@Nicky_Harrison_ @GBNEWS I know. Wonder if no support for my phone (s6). A real shame as every other news outlet app seems to work. Really wanted to watch GBNews online, especially as I refuse to pay BBC licence fee and thus have no Freeview/Sky/etc TV service.
