  People who have Freeview - is it just a one off cost for the box or subscription and can you record stuff? (Am trying to figure out tv options and can't get virgin and sky i think you need a dish. Aerial is crap here)

  @PhilipsCare_UK hi, all my freeview apps (iPlayer, itv hub all4) have stopped working on my TV. Performed update on tv. Still no joy. Model is 55OLES805/12. Tried clearing data and checked I have HBBTV cookies enabled. Any help appreciated.

  @karlbeeby @Vlad42250421 @SueSaffa If that's what this dictatorship wants to do, then let's go for a subscription/lo advertising mix, ditch the regional & BBC World functions, slim down a bit, gain real independence, less Interence & Gov can deal with Freeview & pensioners subscriptions. BBC still a global brand.

  @transdiffusion I was there. With the red square of signal death. What a great team we had at Ondigital. It's a pity it was doomed to fail from the outset - but every time I use Freeview, I'm glad we did what we did to make DVB happen.

  I swear #Freeview TV was far more resilient to bad weather than before the decent frequencies were sold off to mobile companies. Granted a mobile signal probably more useful in an extreme weather situation than being able to watch ITV+1, but still...

  @MSE_Deals @MoneySavingExp We are about to cancel Sky or at least have a conversation with them to try and reduce the outgoing. We have Disney for the kids and Netflix, one of them will be going. Wondering if FreeView & a Firestick would be better?

  Anyone having issues with BBC channels on Freesat channels? Ok on my Freeview. Checked cables and sat dish, but all seems fine. All other channels are fine, just BBC pixelating? SW Scotland here.

  @InspireAndStyle Hi, Karen. If you're getting FVP-300 on all Freeview Play players, check to see if there's a software update available for your Freeview Play device. If you've done an update and the player are still not launching on the TV, contact the devices manufacturer for support

  @InspireAndStyle @FreeviewAdvice Hi Karen, I had the same problem and I done a software update on my TV and reset the TV to default again after the update and it worked. You may also need to update the freeview app from your TV store (android play store) or LG store for example.

  @LizahatesTories They said they could offer more for the same money but wouldn’t/couldn’t bring the price down. We’ve all got data on our phone so the other option would be freeview but it’s so limited. Mustn’t grumble if we want the tv and broadband.
