@Stephen_Neal Good shout! If we just take the Freeview/Freesat ones, we get to ten, excluding the National ones: 1) BBC One 2) BBC Two 3) BBC Four 4) CBBC 5) CBeebies 6) BBC News 7) BBC Parliament 8) Dave 9) Drama 10) Yesterday But they aren’t licence fee funded, so don’t help the argument.

@PayneB44 @tomhfh @BBC Your point was you want a break from it. There’s 1000s of channels, Freeview, YouTube, Sky, NOWTV, Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, BRITBOX DVDs, Blu-rays. Boxsets. There’s never been so much content to take your mind off it. Or just turn the telly off.

@virginmedia once again trying to contact virgin media is a no go a proper waste of time contract has run out trying to cancel they have put the money up to £60 a month for basically 2 freeview boxes I have cancelled my direct debit which is due on the 7 april what a scam😡

@CaptainThunk @DefundBBC They could encrypt the signal and make it subscription-based, since every Freeview TV has a card slot (CAM) on the rear for that very purpose. BT Sport used it for a while - no issues. But the BBC always lies and says it isn't possible, and everyone just takes them at their word.

Nice to be on 5 Live with @Mobeen_Azhar to talk about the BBC licence fee. The BBC’s critics argue for a subscription model, but I still haven’t heard a convincing argument about how that would work for network and local radio - or on Freeview television.

@rach0907 @LlamaBusiness Virgin's dreadful for price hikes alongside declining service. Scrapped it all when we moved, can get everything we want on Freeview/Prime/Netflix/iPlayer. Then got a Humax box so we can record stuff if we want to. EE's internet is brilliant for the price too

@thenoikz @NadineDorries The problem is the services rhe provide that the disabled would have nothing without, the educational resources schools wouldn’t have, the fact that Freeview transmitters wouldn’t be maintained and the lack of Welsh/Gaelic language services. @RedemptionBroon @KrisGriffiths @JuliaHB1 It's currently 43p a day, which includes the cost of maintaining the Freeview transmission network, BBC TV, radio, iPlayer, etc. I have no interest in paying for Sky or similar. If that was £2 a day, it would still be a bargain. About the same as a high of street coffee.
