  • JonnyRoLi JR (@JonnyRoLi) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@Fern_McGovern @SIofting @jckhth Nope. You can pay for a better service. Just as you can have Freeview TV, standard channels, most in standard definition but functional, or you can pay more for Netflix/Amazon/etc, Sky or BT with movies and sport in HD. Same principle applies.

  • AddingRandomWit Adam Widdrington (@AddingRandomWit) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

@bigpapablu @itvfootball I don’t have a sky or freeview box! I stream everything and have very good internet so it’s never an issue haha

  • aquablu Nicola (@aquablu) reported from Whitley Bay, England

If we're in lock down for another 3 weeks, I really feel the #sonyChristmasChannel should be put back on #freeview...Will keep people in the house ( okay, it'll easily keep me in the house🎅🤶🌲

  • GerryCarpenter3 Gerry Carpenter (@GerryCarpenter3) reported from Sunderland, England

@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

@JulieCourtTV @CourtTVUK The channel 89 in the UK that was showing court tv is now saying This service has now closed..and I read today that court tv will no longer be showing on Freeview tv in the UK, can anyone confirm this as I’m so sad and lost without it 😪

  • Mark56623345 mark Hughes (@Mark56623345) reported

@a516digital @hischeekiness @ukdtt Also noticed court TV, the much hyped about channel has left freeview. Dads had enough of freeview. Too much returning etc. And the main aerial crashing down in last wèeks gales. As he understands freesat the challenge here is getting him using that.

  • tashatam14 tashatam (@tashatam14) reported

@GBNEWS @DrSpock_PhD No freeview where I live - no signal. I had to have freesat from Sky to get any TV at all when we went digital. I do not have an HD TV and I would have to subscribe to Sky to get channel 515 anyway. And buy a TV license. Where's the online version?

  • TheReverendNess Ness (@TheReverendNess) reported

Wtf? @CourtTV on Freeview has closed?!! Why? I've really enjoyed watching that channel the last few months, especially the Derek Chauvin trial, and there were a couple of trials I was looking forward to later this year. Very disappointing.

  • DjSimonmatthews DJ Simon Matthews #MentalHealthMatters (@DjSimonmatthews) reported

@bt_uk Can you please allow your customers to watch all channels through the app instead of just the tv box. As my tv has broke down and i cant watch tv unless its through @NOW but dont have all freeview available

  • nashoban_info nashoban productions (@nashoban_info) reported

@CourtTVUK have you shut down your UK Freeview service? 🙁

  • 156v6 Peter Hinitt Esq🍀🇬🇧🇬🇧 #leave #brexit (@156v6) reported

To continue if I switch to. "freeview", my TV is fine on the same channels that Virgin is refusing to play properly. This has been ongoing for 4/5 days now. Yet you own chech status is not showing any issues.

  • MarkBoreham3 Mark Boreham (@MarkBoreham3) reported

With a bit of warm weather and a terrible signal on BBC channels on Freeview it's no wonder people are ditching this outdated medium for on demand services. I'd rather watch YouTube than standard TV now.

  • graham_crook Graham The Saint (@graham_crook) reported

@CourtTVUK disappointed you’ve removed the service from the freeview tv network in uk. Ive been watching since the channel started being aired and and you’ve just remove the service with no notice.

  • MarkBoreham3 Mark Boreham (@MarkBoreham3) reported

@MerielMyers The atrocious freeview signal from BBC has boiled my piss this week.
