Seem to be finding it increasingly difficult to maintain a 3G signal from @giffgaff in Birmingham City Centre and around University station / Birmingham University area. Already had to give up on 4G in the city. Not really good enough. Couldn’t even tweet this from location!

@ItsJamesPowers @EE This is why I buy my phone outright, and use a PAYG network for my personal line and a 1 month rolling SIM-only deal for my second line used for work (yes, they pay me an allowance). That way I'm not tied into anything and if giffgaff or Three annoy me enough I can easily move.

@iamhamesh @idvck Giffgaff has very good sim-only deals. I've not paid more than about 8 quid a month for years now. I went down to six quid at one stage.

@BreezerGalway @EE @giffgaff It's all online, mate. If you have an question you post it on the forum and other customers answer for you. No huge call centres, that's how they keep prices down. The forums are excellent!
