So apparently I've been with @giffgaff for 8 years! It feels like a lot longer, it:s incredible value for money and swapping over was one of the best things I ever did... I need the price of phones to go down so I can buy a new one, would never consider a contract! No need to!

@giffgaff can't return a non-working phone without fitting into a specific category. Can't request help without fitting into a specific category. Phone will not update, phone will not transfer data until updated which renders it useless. A little help please?

@Yorksims @giffgaff Hi John - thanks for the reply. I note that on page 8 of that link it states "...the latest version of OxygenOS has enabled support for 5G on O2". Most comments about OP8Pro & O2 are from mid-2020. I have a giffgaff 5G card

  • ChrisAvern Chris Avern (@ChrisAvern) reported

@hhaarrryyyy2020 @giffgaff Of you step outside does it change at all? Sadly all networks can have this problem. Not sure if newer phones may work better or the incoming 5g signal. Difficult to suggest a solution, sorry for that but I hope something can be done to help you.

  • hhaarrryyyy2020 Andy (@hhaarrryyyy2020) reported

@ChrisAvern @giffgaff It's been like that in this area for years! I'm hardly out in the sticks. It never gets sorted out. Funnily enough O2 is a different story. Same area, same phone.

@hhaarrryyyy2020 @giffgaff I know some areas can have what I call dead spots. Had issues with a surburban area yrs ago where there was no signal etc not sure if there can be blind spots between masts. It could also be something in the construction/materials of you're home. Sounds crazy I know but possible

  • MintlilyMktg Samantha Varriale (@MintlilyMktg) reported

@giffgaff I've been using ID mobile for the past year, but I have also tried my giff gaff SIM in the affected phone and that doesn't work either, pointing to the phone being the issue
