Giffgaff Issues Reports Near Stockton-on-Tees, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Stockton-on-Tees and nearby locations:

  • mikeyoungUK Cllr Mike Young (@mikeyoungUK) reported from Elwick, England

@giffgaff I got a payg sim for my spare phone yesterday and spent 30 quid on credit so I can use it as a data tethering device for my laptop at home. Live in a rural area so no fibre broadband option. Sadly, there is zero 4G signal. I thought all networks had this sorted?!

  • e_gran Lynda D💙 (@e_gran) reported from Hartlepool, England

@RachelOrr I think you can just get a phone…it doesn’t have to have a giffgaff SIM (but check on that). However, GG is so cheap and easy and you can change plans or cancel with no contract. We have both been with them for years and years.

  • RobDowson86 Rob Dowson (@RobDowson86) reported from Stainton and Thornton, England

@giffgaff Hi I have two queries, basically my phone sale is not appearing in selling my phone and also my revised quote is £13.50 and stating there is white dots on the screen this wasn't a issue when I send my phone to yourselves.

  • jodieforeman jodiex (@jodieforeman) reported from Redcar, England

OH MY ******* GOD HOW CAN @giffgaff SEND ME THE WRONG SIM CARD TWICE YOU ******* STUPID ***** ABOUT TO ACTUALLY COMMIT A CRIME IM THAT MAD

  • SixCylinderDean Dean (@SixCylinderDean) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England

Hey @giffgaff can you get onto O2 about the mobile signal in Sunderland City Centre, it’s almost impossible to even load twitter.

  • nathanlawsn Nathan Lawson (@nathanlawsn) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England

@adamconder @OllieBrkr @giffgaff I’ve experienced that occasionally on Three also, but I found that restarting my iPhone fixes the problem, so I’m beginning to think it’s actually an iOS issue rather than a problem with the network.

  • MeInSunderland #ImMe | #SAFC | 🇬🇧 🏳️‍🌈 (@MeInSunderland) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England

🚨 Never buy a refurbished phone from @giffgaff they send you ducked phones then blame you for damaging it

  • ScooterRiderFMX 🏳️‍🌈 #ImMeWhoAreYou 🏳️‍🌈 (@ScooterRiderFMX) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England

Data still not working. I’ll be glad when I ditch @giffgaff

@bennys1 @ThreeUKSupport If they cancel my contract I’ll just move on to giffgaff and then get sim cards of the country I’m in when I go abroad. Three clearly doesn’t care about its loyalist customer base. They will also loose a mobile broadband contract I have for my grandparents too.

  • Ian_Politic Ian Politics ● (@Ian_Politic) reported

    Giffgaff is down

  • chineseelvis Chinese Elvis (@chineseelvis) reported

@bt_uk I do have a good 4G signal and am using it on giffgaff. The EE hub you provide is not as good as my smartphone. But worse than this, it has been turned off. It was at least working albeit badly 2 months ago.

  • dewiwpritchard St Gwynno MTB (@dewiwpritchard) reported

@giffgaff I just bought a refurbished phone and despite it supposed to be unblocked it does not support my giffgaff sim card. Trying to get help is almost impossible, Left with a £169.00 phone that does not work.

  • sgmillinery SGallen (@sgmillinery) reported

@s_lanning1985 @JackpWild @giffgaff Exactly the same here. Bought "like new" refurbished for daughter's Christmas present. Opened on Christmas day, microphone doesn't work- sent back for repair - they've just told me it's not covered by the warranty and will cost more than I paid for the phone to repair.

  • RhysNorton16 TheycallmeRhys (@RhysNorton16) reported

According to the @giffgaff website it has been fixed since the 4th, it is now the 10th. I am currently paying for a phone and service I can not use. #CustomerService

  • ShotsByJai Shots by Jai (@ShotsByJai) reported

@virginmedia No. I gave up after waiting for 58 mins. I have to now order a PAYG sim from @giffgaff just so I can use the STAC code from you to cancel this account. If you make it this hard to cancel then it only serves to prove that you know how bad you are. Please go eat your own 💩

  • s_lanning1985 shane lanning (@s_lanning1985) reported

@JackpWild @giffgaff In the same problem was told it was covered then get told they won't repair it unless I pay double the value for a repair

  • LishmanDoug Doug Lishman (@LishmanDoug) reported

@giffgaff hey gifgaff how do I call your customer service 🤔 I have an issue with my account

  • ThisisJacquiG J G (@ThisisJacquiG) reported

@giffgaff I need help. Please can you message me as I am paying £10.00 per month for no reason (one contract I’m not using) and paying another two £10.00 per month for two other contracts. Need to cancel them all and hopefully get a refund for the first contract!
