Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Portsmouth and nearby locations:

  • pachallis Peter Challis (@pachallis) reported from Fareham, England

@notmany4benny @carterBFC @SamsungUK One of the disadvantages of living in rural locations. At least you must have beautiful views instead. I had problems with Three and I live 200m from a transmitter where I get flaky voice calls. Apparently I need a Three supplied phone to get VOLTE. Currently on O2/Giffgaff.

  • ChrisOverthrow Chris Overthrow (@ChrisOverthrow) reported from Portsmouth, England

@brendonvbone I was with giffgaff (o2) and its bollocks. Now with Vodafone. I get decent signal apart from half time. At half time I can get some internet but it's very slow. That's unavoidable with 18k people all using their phones though.

  • Sparky_Darryl Darryl Barlow (@Sparky_Darryl) reported from Emsworth, England

@giffgaff I have been in touch a few times over the last week or two through my account but never get an update of the mast repair! #NoServiceHere

  • Sparky_Darryl Darryl Barlow (@Sparky_Darryl) reported from Emsworth, England

@giffgaff They said this “The engineers that are doing the work on the mast have not given us any updates. The engineers do update our network page, all you need to do is enter your postcode and it will bring up if there is issues in your area and if they are going to be delayed” No Help!

@ZainB_121 Hi Zain. We can confirm that this wasn't sent to you by giffgaff. We recommend that you delete the text and don't follow the link. We’re doing everything we can to stop this from happening, and have been shutting down these sites as quickly as they crop up. - giffgaff Emer.

  • RichMillington Richard Millington (@RichMillington) reported

@brianoblinger I loved when GiffGaff were promoting the average time to response. A couple of organisations share annual metrics and include it. Seen two internal ones that have something comparable. But no, nothing I can see in a major support community.

  • flintworks Flintworks (@flintworks) reported

Hey @Giffgaff I keep on getting no service. Today I'm someone's next of kin whilst they have a medical procedure and need to be contactable. In my settings i have changed mobile networks and changed back again, restarted my phone and still get no service.

  • _Izzers Izzy (@_Izzers) reported

@giffgaff I am being driven INSANE by your online diagnostic service. The microphone on my newly purchased phone does not work properly and I would like to return it for a replacement but cannot manage to do this online.

  • yorkshiredadof4 Dave | Yorkshire Dad of 4 (@yorkshiredadof4) reported

@giffgaff I called the number and got GiffGaff voicemail. Sorry, I'll clarify, it didn't come FROM GiffGaff but it came from a number on your network.

  • TobyHopwood Toby Hopwood (@TobyHopwood) reported

Wow, thanks @giffgaff - you emailed saying my phone repair is out of warranty - no details given - & quoted £246 to repair it. Adding insult to injury, saying I'll be charged £15 to send it back unrepaired. Phone cost me £199 and I've only had it a couple of months! So bad.😡

  • MrLukowski Andrzej Łukowski (@MrLukowski) reported

@giffgaff hello! I bought a refurbed iPhone from you that was supposed to be ‘like new’ but the battery life is terrible - would this fall under a technical fault or would I just be better off refunding and start again? Apologies if this account doesn’t deal with hardware

  • AndrewShute2 Andy S (@AndrewShute2) reported

@giffgaff @O2 would somebody like to sort out the transmitter strength that covers PR7 before I take my custom to another network, I’ve moved to within 0.5km of one of the Uk’s busiest motorway service areas & have one bar or it drops to 3G 😡 Ridiculous & slow!! .

  • Mykiel_B MikeKAB (@Mykiel_B) reported

@JerryGiraffe @giffgaff Yes, in order to access any support aside the frequently asks questions and the knowledge base, you would have to create an account to access the community or contact the agents.

  • planetf1 Nigel Jones (@planetf1) reported

@Shammz006 @SMARTYMobileUK That's not so bad... not the best for home broadband but respectable for mobile - I would have stuck with smarty/3 if I had that (or less). They also benefit from having wifi calling/VoLTE which others like voxi, giffgaff etc are missing.
