Hello, you lovely @giffgaff people. I know I'm not alone in not having received the #emergencyalert message on my phone, however my wife next to me did on her Giffgaff Android mobile; presumably the signal is from the same mast? It's probably a Gov't ****-up as usual... Hey ho.

  • GosforthHotel
The Gosforth Hotel (@GosforthHotel) reported from Newcastle upon Tyne, England

. @giffgaff 4g data in NE3 area has been appalling for the last 48hrs but your coverage page indicates no issues? Voice and text is fine though. Any ideas?

  • MXOFO
Lee (@MXOFO) reported from Newburn, England

My @ThreeUK contract ends at the end of this month. Got an email the day before they announced they’re dropping their free roaming trying to convince me to renew. No thanks. I’m off to @giffgaff. I don’t give my custom to companies that fail to keep their word.

@gazza_d @KarlOnSea @girodilento I did hear that you are further down the priority list for bandwidth congestion with giffgaff than O2. (Also in a macho - mine is bigger than yours kind of way, I have more data than you are allowed buy, 40GB. Travelling a lot these days)

@giffgaff almost 24 hours on my SIM still does not work. I have emailed customer services and still nothing! In this day and age, surely you at least have agents on hand for live chat?!

  • giffgaff

@moaningminnie58 Hi there. Unfortunately we are online only so do not offer support over the phone. Can you please let us know what issue you're facing via direct message, and we can do our best to help get you support? - giffgaff Hannah

  • sc2987
    Shoshanah Cohen (@sc2987) reported

@bt_uk And if she were going to switch mobile providers, it would be to Giffgaff, as we're all with them. Not you. You should never be pushing extra services on people moving to a social tariff (or anyone, but especially those likely to be vulnerable).

  • UptimusApp
    Uptimus (@UptimusApp) reported

Update 08:25 UTC β€” giffgaff reports: giffgaff's status page published a new incident update.

  • Wine92023
    9 wine (@Wine92023) reported

@giffgaff Raised ticket with Agent Juline, but refund was refused under Section 5.3 after PAC port-out. Loop won't fix this. Please escalate to a Formal Complaint for my credit refund, or send a Deadlock Letter so I can take it to Ombudsman.

  • MRP_YT
    MRP (@MRP_YT) reported

@giffgaff All this took me nowhere. Please provide customer phone number for me to phone.

  • Joa_Lipa
    Jo 🀍 (@Joa_Lipa) reported

@giffgaff messaged your team to let them know the mast is still broke in my area and I still have no signal for calls or data use. I have been refunded in the past, now I’m being told to leave - we have several contracts with you and your customer service is usually much better?

  • fergus_kiely
    Fergus Kiely (@fergus_kiely) reported

@giffgaff @KielyFergus Still unresolved. Giffgaff deliberately making it difficult to reclaim money that has been taken from my account without authorisation. Going to the regulator and will provide full disclosure as to resolution.

  • 54JohnBull
    John Bull (@54JohnBull) reported

@Glen11Glen @dbcxptures That sounds fair. GiffGaff could be cheaper by a couple of pounds but little in it. Others have also mentioned the O2 network is pretty rubbish for mobile internet.

  • tmkadamcz
    Tom Adamczewski (@tmkadamcz) reported

@Manderljung Yeah it's very bad, on average, though having trouble while outdoors in central London does not match my experience. I'm on giffgaff fwiw, I think it's one of the cheapest ones. Would definitely pay more for better!
