Owen Vachell ππππΊ (@OwenVachell) reported from Poole, England@YPacaud @KikeRJimenez @SMARTYMobileUK @giffgaff Not really. Network coverage is awful. Was with Smarty for 2 months before jacking it in, it was that bad. Even when I (apparently) had 3G, (remember that..) I had no data coverage. Only calls and texts. All I needed was a Nokia 5110 and my time travel was complete!

Lilith Tuylor (@lilith15016) reported@giffgaff Since you dismiss a potential CUSTOMER as not worth replying to, with a copy pasted 'go to website' 'response' it is clear that my custom would not be welcome.
-
Bob McLobb (@BMclobb) reported@andrejpwalker @O2 @giffgaff Giff Gaff is an mVNO using o2's network. Basically o2 without the marketing costs

Jay Smith (Sonic/Dragonwolf) (@DragonWolf5589) reported@tescomobile how come some areas like manchester/st Peter square as an example. And also parts of Wythenshawe and flixton. I have signal but NO data. But others on giffgaff and o2 have no issue? Only tesco? (yet also uses the o2 network) I have to keep switch to a 2nd sim/network

daryl greaves π (@greavesdaz) reported@giffgaff is there an issue with signal in the DE11 area? Canβt get any signal at all unless connected to WiFi
-
TheDePINCat ππ (@TheDePINCat) reported.@giffgaff have generally been good (10 years+ a subscriber). For the past few days, I have been unable to send texts from my UK number. I had to go onto a forum to diagnose what I thought was a device problem. Reset my network settings (no help). And then back to the forum to find a coverage map. Ideally, giffgaff would send alerts to impacted areas so we are aware with this information. And, with connectivity being fundamental to everything we do in the digital world, communication should be treated as high priority as a burst water pipe or gas leak. This is why community-owned networks are so crucial. There is an extra level of care and concern when the issue directly impacts you.

Woody Knows (@Woody3704) reported@SamRobi90967600 @hewantswealth Yh unlimited data isnt exactly unlimited Giffgaff has a 650GB limit. If you break it twice in a year then they can apparently just deactivate your account and refuse service. I only used around 900GB once. & that was because of watching netflix + post PC format game downloads

Fred (@fred6279) reported@cyrilnotes @Fremond_ Go to an MVNO network. Essentially of them except Giffgaff have the same priority as regular customers on the main network. Voxi uses Vodafone and Three and is very cheap so I recommend that.
